RxFax dropping line
Hi, I am running a build of asterisk@home with asterisk 1.2beta1 and am trying to diagnose RxFax with a Voip incoming trunk. I am running the latest spandsp and rxfax with libtiff 3.7. Switching on debug IU can see the call come in, but after a small time the fax connection drops and the sending fax (paper doc ) has not moved in the machine. I guess it must be dropping in the negotiation

CallerID from Samsung PBX line on FXO
Hi, I've now set up Asterisk to interface with our current Samsung iDCS 100 PBX via an 8SLI analogue extension card in the Samsung and an Openvox A400P04 4-FXO card in the Asterisk box. It all works in that I can place calls in both directions from the office Samsung extensions and Asterisk SIP extensions. The only tricky bit was getting the FXO to detect hang-up from the Samsung correctly -

Dovecot IMAP and Mac OS X Mail.app
Hi All, I recently switched our Courier IMAP server over to Dovecot primarily for performance reasons. Server OS is Debian Sarge with Dovecot packages from backports.org (v 1.0.rc2-1bpo1). Access from Thunderbird and Horde worked fine with some shared folders defined and the Courier compatibility private folder stanza. Initial testing with Mail.app showed that, although the folder listing was

IP printing to Jetdirect boxes
All, Hey hey, am new so if this is way basic, flame on. ;-) I have a Dell Poweredge 2300 running RedHat 6.0 and whatever versions of samba and such that are part of that distribution. Samb 'works' from the standpoint of file sharing and printing in a sense. The issue is that the printer is an HP Laserjet 4 connected via an external HP Jetdirect box running IP. The only connection to

Aix-Samba memory problem
Hi guys, I recently came into a new site that is running Samba 2.2.8 on an AIX 4.3.3 box. They are sharing out about 2 terabytes using samba. Samba was installed using smitty and the binaries. They seem to be experiencing a memory problem with this box. When I do a svmon -Pu the monitoring program shows that smbd has several processes of smbd running: Inuse * 4096 = amount of memory being
