samba-tool dbcheck on 4.7.5, after bug 13228
Hi,
Replying to my own query, for those following along at home (or reading the
archives in the future). Thanks very much to Garming for giving me these
pointers.
My initial query probably wasn't very clear - apologies - but what it
boiled down to was that "samba-tool dbcheck --cross-ncs" identified a
number of errors, but these were *NOT* fixed when I ran the same command

AD object fix (Re: [Announce] Samba 4.7.5 Available for Download)
Hi,
Firstly thank you to all the Samba team for continued help & support.. and
thank you to those involved in resolving bug 13228, which might well
explain a number of issues I was having recently (I had thought
coincidentally, after upgrading to 4.7.4)
Can I check the expected behaviour of 'samba-tool dbcheck --cross-ncs
--fix'?

Previously extended schema not working in 4.4.0
Thank you, Andrew - I hadn't done so. (In a good way, I haven't yet had
problems with samba that have caused me to delve quite so deeply into the
DB :) so I'm not as familiar with the range of tools as I could be, sorry!)
This has flagged up quite a few errors, all along the lines of:
# samba-tool dbcheck --cross-ncs

A db error that dbcheck tool can't fix
Hello, I have 2 samba DCs. DC1 with FSMO role and DC2. These days, when I
use dbcheck in DC1 ,I got the following error:

FSMO / ldbsearch
Hi,
After a couple of unfortunate hardware failures and some not insignificant
amount of work to rebuild two of my DCs, I am trying to check that things
are now working correctly.
Looking at the wiki page on FSMO ownership, one suggestion is to run the
following ldbsearch command.. but this doesn't work for me.
root at dc2:~# ldbsearch --cross-ncs -H /var/lib/samba/private/sam.ldb -b

dbcheck and fix
Hi all!
I demoted a samba 4.10.8 (slackware 14.2) ad dc called DC1 and joined to the domain a samba 4.20.4 (debian 12.7) called DC3. There is also a samba 4.18.9 (slackware 15.0) ad dc called DC2 which for the moment holds all the FSMO roles. The whole replacing an ad dc with another one worked out great but when I run the command samba-tool dbcheck --cross-ncs on DC2 I got 3 "NOTES"

joined computer not appear in all DCs (DC4 not sync with DC3)
Hello,
I had posted this in another topic, but because the problem is different, I
decided to create a new topic.
Conf:
- Primary DC/pdc Emulator as DC3
- Second DC as DC4
After an upgrade from schema 45 to 69 in DCs, when adding a computer in the
domain and if the domain to respond is DC4 the synchronization for DC3 is
not done.
I already did several tests that I already knew and also new

markedly fewer objects in dbcheck after upgrade to 4.12.1 from 4.11.6
Recently upgraded my 3 dc's to samba 4.12.1
as part of the install ran dbcheck --cross-ncs on each dc after make install
first dc dbcheck reported 5474 objectssecond dc reported 5476 objects
last dc (the one with all the fsmo roles, etc.)? reported 1406 objects!
now all of them report 1406 objects. (drs replication obviously)
ADUC, DNS, GPO manager all seem to have the requisite data. I

Samba 4.7.9 dbcheck error
Hello list,
I'm getting a weird error message regarding our file server when i run
dbcheck on my
dc01 running Samba v4.7.9. The error only occurs on dc01, dc02 is fine,
the file server also
works fine but I want to clean the database before doing the upgrade to
version 4.9

samba-tool drs showrepl show no error and is in sync.
samba-tool dbcheck --fix shows 16 errors
