[Patches] for dbcheck (Re: [Patches] AD Database corruption after upgrade from <= 4.6 to 4.7 (bug #13228))
Hi Stefan
I am also one of the Sernet customer. Can you guide me how to run the patch
to fix the bug.
I am running 2 DC's Sernet Samba 4.7.4 with 2 RODC's running Sernet Samba
4.7.4. Whenever I run samba-tool drs replicate --fix --yes command on the
DC it shows the below errors which cannot be fixed:

Hi All,
On my two-DC setup (dc00 and dc01 - Used to be a 4-Dc setup but 02 and 03
are gone), I've noticed the following errors which I am unable to fix.. Any hints?
* Basic dbcheck is clean.
[root at dc00 ~]# samba-tool dbcheck
Checking 327 objects
Checked 327 objects (0 errors)
* Cross-NCS shows two errors related to a de-comissionned DC (dc02) and
cannot auto-fix this.. How do I fix

[Patches] AD Database corruption after upgrade from <= 4.6 to 4.7 (bug #13228)
Hi,
here're patches to avoid a database corruption with linked attributes,
e.g. member/memberOf.
See https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=13228
As a temporary solution admins can add "server services = -kcc" to the
global section of smb.conf.
Also DO NOT repair the following errors with samba-tool dbcheck!
"Remove duplicate links in attribute"
and

unexplained Replication failures...?
Hi Denis,
Thanks for taking the time to answer.
Yes, I may have been wrong with --forced-sync and --full-sync since the
start but in fact I wanted to make sure to force replication between the
servers.
Here is what I have noticed:
- replication works from dc00 -> dc00 but not from dc01 -> dc00:
[root at dc00 ~]# samba-tool drs replicate DC01 DC00
dc=ad,dc=lasthome,dc=solace,dc=krynn

Yep, the explanation made sense. I hadn't considered the possibility of
alternating outages. Thanks!

Replication Error
Hi Denis
Thanks for your response without your crystal ball.
I have increased the log level =9 dns:0 on both the servers. It replicates
successfully by manually running the command
samba-tool drs replicate SERVER2 SERVER1 dc=iumnet,dc=edu,dc=na --full-sync
but it is still failing when I check from the samba-tool drs showrepl
Also I run samba-tool dbcheck --cross-ncs --fix on both the servers

Oops kernel (2.4.18) on Sparc32
Hello,
I have recompiled a Linux 2.4.18 kernel on my Sparc and I receive
some oops when quick disk access are performed. For example : I download
some files on a local server with ncftp (-TR directory), and ncftp hangs
up (with kernel oops !). I cannot umount the device and I must reboot
the station.
For information, my sparc is a SparcStation 5 (85 MHz) with 160

dovecot 1.0-test-56 mail doesn't show up with Mac Entourage clients
Hi. I'm seeing some issues where Entourage clients can see new mail,
download it (or partially), but won't display the mail in the mailbox
list. Mail shows up as having arrived, but never displays. These clients
have worked in the past with versions of 0.99, but not in 1.0-test-56.
I have dumped the connection traffic and it looks like Entourage aborts
the IMAP session before it

Backups & Snapshot Support
Are there any plans for a type of "snapshot" support, which could be use
to make point in time consistent backups, similar to what lvm would
allow you to do for a local volume? I'm really looking for a good way to
back up my ocfs2 volume, but so far, all we've been able to use is rsync
and custom scripts.
Are there any other options?

kernel: peth0: received packet with own address as source address
Hello,
running xen 3.0.4_1 I find the following messages in /var/log/messages:
kernel: peth0: received packet with own address as source address
Is this something to worry about?
The tcpdump shows the following pakets during that time:
