problems with yum and 4.3-->4.4
Are the problems with yum in the Centos 4.3->>4.4 upgrade process due to a forked or obsolete version of yum? I briefly scanned <https://lists.dulug.duke.edu> and didn't see any problems, but did see some incidents regarding yum hangs reported about a year ago. regarding the current upgrade, Seth Vidal in

geo-replication command rsync returned with 3
Hi all, i have made some tests on the latest Ubuntu 16.04.3 server image. Upgrades were disabled... the configuration was always the same...a distributed replicated volume on 4 VM's with geo-replication to a dist. repl .volume on 4 VM's. i started with 3.7.20, upgrade to 3.8.15, to 3.10.9 to 3.12.5. After each upgrade i have tested the geo-replication which worked well anytime. then i

It is clear that rsync is failing. Are the rsync versions on all masters and slave nodes same? I have seen that has caused problems sometimes. -Kotresh HR On Wed, Jan 24, 2018 at 10:29 PM, Dietmar Putz <dietmar.putz at 3qsdn.com> wrote: > Hi all, > i have made some tests on the latest Ubuntu 16.04.3 server image. compiling samba 4.7.1 on centos 7
Hello, I am trying to compile an rpm of samba 4.7.1 on centos 7. I have everything compiling but the problem is when I go to install the rpms, yum complains that samba-python requires libdnsserver-common-samba4.so. That file is part of samba-dc-libs which I believe doesn't work on centos 7 due to incompatibility with mit-kerberos. Does anyone know if there is a way to build this file without

Hello, I am testing Samba (v.4.17.8) in Debian 12 ("Bookworm") for use on two DCs (as separate VMs) in a new AD domain. Wine can no longer access port 80
I play a lot of games on Linux so I compile Wine from source and run it from the source directory to allow multiple versions and configurations. A couple weeks ago I started noticing errors whenever Steam tried to display a web page which was no biggie since I never use the storefront and I just chalked it up to Steam being buggy. But then I noticed the same error popping up in other programs
