Can't connect Windows 7 client to Samba 3.3.12 on AIX
Hi !!!
I've Samba 3.3.12 running on AIX, I have a few windows 7 using a shared
resource on that server.
This is the shared resource definition:

Can't connect Windows 7 client to Samba 3.3.12 on AIX
This samba is scheduled for upgrade. We've been testing samba 4.3.8
packages (from BULLFreeware) on other AIX. It was not easy the install,
even with RPM packages.
I hope to do the upgrade soon, but I need to have this particular user
working now. What puzzles me is that I have other windows 7 PCs happily
working on the same resource.

Getting ip_conntrack: table full, dropping packet on shorewall-lite
I have a bunch of servers, where I''ve deployed shorewall-lite. For us
is very useful to have a centralized repository of the firewall rules
deployed in our servers. One of this servers is pretty busy, handling
lots of connections. In that server I''m getting from time to time this
message: ip_conntrack: table full
If I where working in a custom made iptables firewall I will

mounting gfs partition hangs
Hi,
I have configured two machines for testing gfs filesystems. They are
attached to a iscsi device and centos versions are:
CentOS release 5.4 (Final)
Linux node1.fib.upc.es 2.6.18-164.el5 #1 SMP Thu Sep 3 03:33:56 EDT 2009
i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux
The problem is if I try to mount a gfs partition it hangs.

rquota didnot show userquota (Solaris 10)
Hi,
we have a new fileserver running on X4275 hardware with Solaris 10U8.
On this fileserver we created one test dir with quota and mounted these
on another Solaris 10 system. Here the quota command didnot show the
used quota. Does this feature only work with OpenSolaris or is it
intended to work on Solaris 10?
Here what we did on the server:
# zfs create -o mountpoint=/export/home2

Lowest functional level 2000 (4.6.4)
I have a samba dc which i recently upgraded to 4.6.4. I was looking at updating the functional level as it currently returns:
Forest function level: (Windows) 2000
Domain function level: (Windows) 2000
Lowest function level of a DC: (Windows) 2000
There is only a single DC (this host).
According to the documentation 2000 isn’t even supported anymore:

Hi
I am testing the possibility of migrating from nfs to cifs to serve our
Linux clients.
Currently we mount the samba shares, e.g. the home directory, using nfs.
The test setup is that instead of:
mount -t nfs hh1:/home2 /home2 -osec=rw,krb5
I changed to:
mount -t cifs
