named log entries - Are any of these a problem?
Hello everyone -
I run bind version 9.8.2 on CentOS 6.5. The daily logwatch run sends me the
following items. Are any of these a real problem?

checkhints: extra NS 'B.ROOT-SERVERS.NET' in hints: 170 Time(s)

How to update the root hints for bind DLZ
It looks like the original intention in our code was to be able to
add/modify records with the "." zone. Trying it, there seems to be other
issues with using it. I'm not entirely sure if this alias is valid
against Windows or for which calls.
I just hacked a patch (see attached) to see if I could add or modify
another name server.
samba-tool dns add $DC_SERVER . @ NS testing

How to update the root hints for bind DLZ
The RootDNSServers zone is special in a number of ways. It has no SOA
record for instance, and so there's a lot of special casing around it.
Looking on a Windows DC, dnscmd /enumzones lists dot as a zone and
dnscmd /enumrecords . returns the root servers (as well as ..RootHints
it seems). None of this is our choice of convention unfortunately, but
it should be fairly simple to make the client

The OP basically did that manually, but it didn't change the record in
AD.
The record is an 'A' record, but 'samba-tool dns update' will not

SERVFAIL <=> NXDOMAIN
Hello,
we encountered a problem with registry nic.at for tld .at and their
transaction "BillWithDraw". This transaction allows an registrar to
delegate authority back to registry.
For a successful use of this transaction all nameserver-entries for the
zone will be deleted by our application before nic-order will be sent to
nic.at.
Nic.at now checks all nameserver for existing

FW: Internal DNS migrate to Bind9_DLZ
Hai,
I've checked out the log you send and i re-read the complete thread.
Based on thats done and what i did see in you logs now, looks like a * (wildcard) entry is giving the problem.
But i am not sure of that, the wildcard bugs should be fixed, when i look in bugzilla. (#10435 #12952 )
I've forwarded the mail to Rowland also before we go throw things at you again. ;-)

Sip to Sip
I appologize if this was already answered somwhere on http://www.voip-info.org/wiki-Asterisk, I'm sure it probably is. And if you wish to just point me to a link that would be appreciated. I am very new to asterisk and unix all around, so these questions may sound rather ignorant.
First being, how do I setup asterisk to point to another asterisk server and make all the lines which should

Samba 3.0 issues with mapped drives properties
Mandrake 9.1 Samba 3.0, windows2000 pro sp4.
I finally got Samba 3.0 working thanks to G?mes G?za. Now I am having
another issue as outlined below:
1)There are 2 users on the Linux pc, markw (regular user) and root. Both
have valid samba passwords.
2)I have a share called:

path = /test
valid users = markw, root
read only = No
browseable = yes
3)I am able to map the share with the user

The zone is definitely called
