ctdb vacuum timeouts and record locks
Hi List,
I set up a ctdb cluster a couple months back. Things seemed pretty
solid for the first 2-3 weeks, but then I started getting reports of
people not being able to access files, or some times directories. It
has taken me a while to figure some stuff out, but it seems the common
denominator to this happening is vacuuming timeouts for locking.tdb in
the ctdb log, which might go on

printer.tdb (tdb_oob len errors) and Quirkiness: Solaris 9, Samba 3.0.0
I set up printing IAW:
http://us4.samba.org/samba/docs/man/printing.html
I've confirmed the drivers are being installed to /etc/samba/drivers/W32X86.
Yet I am unable to print even a test page. I get the following error:
"Test page failed to print. Would you like to view the print trouble shooter
for assistance? Access is denied."
And I get the following errors in my samba

smbstatus hang with CTDB 2.5.4 and Samba 4.1.13
Can anyone help with some pointers to debug a problem with Samba and CTDB
with smbstatus traversing the connections tdb? I've got a new two node
cluster with Samba and CTDB on AIX. If I run smbstatus when the server
has much user activity it hangs and the node it was run on gets banned. I
see the following in the ctdb log:

Weird permissions problem
Hello,
I'm having a permissions problem I just can't quite figure out. I can not access
any directory that is owned by my userid if the permissions are 700. If I change them
to 770, with my default group on the directory, then I can access the directory.
This was working fine with Fedora 19 for several years, and it broke when I upgraded
to Fedora 22, and still broken with F23.

[PATCH 1/6] lguest: host code tidyups
Christoph Hellwig said runs sparse:
1) page_tables.c unnecessary initialization
2) Change prototype of run_lguest and do cast in caller instead (when we add
__user to cast, it runs over another line).
Al Viro pointed out the ugly cast in push_lguest_stack():
3) Stick with unsigned long for arg, removes 4 casts in total.
Most importantly, I now realize that Christoph's incorrect ranting

ctdb vacuum timeouts and record locks
Hi,
This occurred again this morning, when the user reported the problem, I
found in the ctdb logs that vacuuming has been going on since last
night. The need to fix it was urgent (when isn't it?) so I didn't have
time to poke around for clues, but immediately restarted the lxc
container. But this time it wouldn't restart, which I had time to trace
to a hung smbd process, and

Thanks for your help. I'm still investigating on it, but sadly i cannot
upgrade to 4.11 as those servers cannot reach external repositories for
security reasons (those servers
