unable to move temporary installation of package
I think MalwareBytes may have been the culprit. I disabled it and it's working now (even with my regular antivirus running). Thanks all for the advice! unable to move temporary installation of package
I have seen that error from students trying to install, usually from the Rcpp package. One suggestion I received was to try disabling your virus scanner while doing the install. The reason being that the scanner has not completed its job by the time the installer wants to move stuff around. Kevin On 03/27/2018 01:14 PM, Paul Lantos wrote: > Thanks, > > Here's the error, for

[EXTERNAL] Re: Submitting a patch that exposes VAD voiced/unvoiced signal type
Hi Peter, Can you say a little bit more about what you're doing exactly with the information you're exposing and how? unfortunately, I don't have a concrete proposal in mind right now. That's in part because I don't quite understand the use case, but also because it's really hard to expose this kind of information in a way that both avoids breaking application with new

Feature request: make file.exists interruptable
Hi R developers, On slow file systems with large lists of files, file.exists can take a long time to run. It would be nice if users could interrupt this function. I think it would be simple to add: https://svn.r-project.org/R/trunk/src/main/platform.c, at line 1373, add "R_CheckUserInterrupt();" perhaps every some number of iterations if performance is a concern here. Thanks, Chris

Dtrace not working for processes running after a couple of hours
Hi, all, I''m a newbie on dtrace and the problem I am having is: For processes which have been running for more than a couple of hours, dtrace doesn''t seem to be able to trace(I waited for at least one hour and didn''t see anything happening). However, it works every time for a relatively new process. Any insight or help will be appreciated. This is my machine:

* point to point t1 solution?
Can anyone point me to a reference or sample config for bypassing a nailed up (point to point) t1 between two PBXs with asterisk and a pair of t1 cards? Right now I have 2 Nortel norstars connected to each other via a leased line t1. I also have a solid 10mbps low latency microwave link between the 2 sites. My goal is to run an asterisk box at each end with a t1 card and Ethernet card to

Dsync ignores INBOX when converting from mbox to maildir
Hi, I am trying to convert email box in mbox format to maildir++. It converts all folders except INBOX. For example: dsync -D -v -f -u 'info at example.org' mirror 'maildir:~/Maildir' prints: dsync(info at example.org): Info: Sport: only in source So it converts Sport folder, but INBOX folder is ignored. dovecot.conf contains: mail_location = mbox:~/mail:INBOX=/var/mail/%u

[EXTERNAL] Re: UPS Losing Connection
Not a whole lot to do in the field for a legitimate USB not responding issue other than verify cabling and give a power cycle and/or discharge reset a try (which, given the nature of a UPS isn't always something you can easily do of course). If it looks like a problem with USB being completely dead, as opposed to just the "drops" issue we started with, I definitely recommend

Printer fiasco...
OK, First, thanks for all of the help recently. I appreciate it. But...I have just implemented the cvs code as to be able to use the 'use client driver' option because win nt/2k machines have been seeing an 'Access denied, unable to connect' error for the print queues and this will apparently fix this. I will describe my setup and what I have done thus far: RH 7.1 Samba 2_2 cvs
