It is configured to use an existing Active Directory infrastructure based on Windows servers. winbind errors for trusted domain (of a one-way trust)
Hi, Our AD domain "A.COM" has a one-way trust with "B.COM" with B.COM being the trusted domain. We have a samba server that is joined to A.COM on which users of B.COM need access. We have samba and winbind configured and it seems to be working correctly except for the following message that keeps on appearing in the log.wb-B logfile: [2017/05/04 14:42:53.727050, 0]

samba 4.4.2 ads member not authenticating properly

When I installed 4.4.2 samba stopped authenticating passwords against the ads properly. I am using sssd and have verified that it is working correctly and able to validate passwords. I am not running winbind. Both 4.4.0 and 4.4.2 were compiled using exactly the same

I've got it running mostly (with Windows 7 clients, everything works like a charm.), but I-m struggling with an issue that is driving me nuts (spent countless hours trying out stuff and googleing without luck): When users log in from Win XP Pro terminals, and are forced to change initially assigned passwords, they get an error (1728: error in RCP

Hello, I am attempting to debug an issue with my Samba configuration. It has been working fine, but we recently updated Samba from 4.6.x to 4.8.3 and are now seeing some issues authenticating. Most of our servers are still working fine after the upgrade, but one server is giving us issues. A little more environment info: The server is running Centos 7.1. Windows clients can connect OK.
