ER, you don't actually need to add any extra schemas, it is all built
into samba4 when run as an AD DC, if you are struggling to understand

I touched the two missing files
/var/db/samba4/private/dns_update_list

And restarted the Samba44 service. This is what I see now:

Testing a forest trusts in Samba 4.4.5 AD environment
Database size would interest us here, with and without trust if you have
these metrics. Global catalog is supposed to stored some attributes of
almost all objects of all trusted domains, if me understanding is correct
and we have no real idea about what that means in concrete terms.

Ubuntu DC dns update failure
Hi
Lubuntu 14.04 with bind9 and the samba 4.1.8 tarball
All seems well. However, 2 errors:
1. upon starting samba:
samba: setproctitle not initialized, please either call
setproctitle_init() or link against libbsd-ctor.
2. samba_dnsupdate
- error from samba:
../source4/dsdb/dns/dns_update.c:294: Failed DNS update -

Samba 4 Bind DNS on CentOS 7
Hi Brady,
I realise that but the only named.conf to be found on the system is my
newly created /etc/named.conf. Either something screwed up when
installing the Sernet RPMs, which is really pretty unlikely given that
everything else is working, or the file was not included in the package.
regards,
John

Samba Internal DNS vs. BIND_DLZ
Ah, LDAP is included within Samba, I find. Don't install provided one...
I suppose I will have to find what schemas, particularly if the bind dlz
schema is included?

Samba 4 Bind DNS on CentOS 7
Hi Mike,
I wonder if I'm missing the file because I only did a classicupgrade,
rather than a provision and perhaps then the file(s) is/are not created.

John

Problem achieving manual synchronisation of idmap.ldb and the associated User and Group ID mappings between two Samba 4 AD DCs
Hi everyone, I have two AD DCs that I am experimenting with, hostnames
ad1 and ad2 respectively. I am using Raspberry Pi hardware, and
accordingly I am using Samba 4.5.16-Debian on Raspbian Linux.
I have already had some success so far setting up a second AD DC, ad2,
and joining this to my existing Active Directory domain SAMDOM. I have
already verified that I can create new user accounts on
