This is all correct and by design. Try : getent passwd username If you running this on a Samba AD DC. If you want to see if you pam setup is done, run : pam-auth-update But still you only see the users with : getent passwd username Greetz, Louis > -----Oorspronkelijk bericht----- > Van: samba [mailto:samba-bounces at lists.samba.org] Namens basti via samba > Verzonden: maandag 30

Idmap config Samba 4 NT4-style domain
Hello, I have a server with an NT4-style domain an Samba 4.2.14+dfsg-0+deb8u5. The samba uses an LDAP backend and all is fine so far. Samba users start at uid 1005 (it's not good I know but it's historical) Domain Users Group has UID 513. Now my Problem: The winbind log is full of [2017/04/07 16:35:50.896450, 1] ../source3/winbindd/idmap.c:230(idmap_init_domain) idmap range not

1.2.3pre2 works great on Solaris 2.7 except man
Right out of the box (after I made Damien's LDFLAGS fix in configure) using gcc-2.95.2. The only problem I have now is the man pages. I still can't read them using Solaris nroff, and when I tried to build with --with-catman=cat, I got the following during a make install: /rtr/bin/install -c -m 644 ssh.[01].out /usr/local/man/cat1/ssh.1 Try `/rtr/bin/install --help' for more

smbclient ends in NT_STATUS_CONNECTION_REFUSED error
I have applied the changes as suggested. After restarting the server, smbclient-command worked! But after I restarted the Samba Client with „/etc/init.d/samba restart“ I was once again confronted with the same problem! Again, only another server restart did the trick. Now I am facing this problem constantly. As soon as I restart, this command among others won’t work without displaying an error

extracting nested variances from lme4 model
I have a model: mod1<-lmer( x ~ (1|rtr)+ trth/(1|cs) , data=dtf) # Here, cs and rtr are crossed random effects. cs 1-5 are of type TRUE, cs 6-10 are of type FALSE, so cs is nested in trth, which is fixed. So for cs I should get a fit for 1-5 and 6-10. This appears to be the case from the random effects: > mean( ranef(mod1)$cs[[1]][1:5] ) [1] -2.498002e-16 > var(

seemingly simple read.table question
I have a file that I thought would be fairly simple to read in using read.table but I am having problems ( as usual ). each line of the file is of the form ( just 20 lines or so ) financials XXX, YYY, ZZZ automobiles RTR, ABC, TGH so the first field in the line is the industry and the other fields ( seperated by commas ) in the line are stock identifiers of stocks in that industry. note that
