Duplicate base-DN matches found for <SID=1-5-11> after classic upgrade
Hi, I've done samba-tool domain classicupgrade from Samba 3.0.9 NT-style domain to Samba 4.3.11 and have issues with SIDs. I have an old SUSE 9 server with Samba 3.0.9 NT-style domain (only this PDC, no BDC). I migrated this samba configuration to Ubuntu 16.04.1 with Samba 4.3.11 and it worked very well. Then I did inplace upgrade to Samba AD DC domain using the following command:

AD migration issues
Hi , We migrated to AD account in a Ubuntu 16.04 (Samba 4.3.11)and came across issues with user shares. Some of the users were able to access the shares and some were not. The server in question has both AD and File and we followed the samba wiki to enable the Windows ACL To migrate , we ran the following samba-tool domain classicupgrade --dbdir=/var/lib/samba.PDC/dbdir --realm=lin.GROUP

Issue with computer accounts with classicupgrade
I have an old Centos5/Samba3.5 domain with LDAP backend that I am attempting to migrate to the latest Samba 4.2 on Centos 7.1. Samba in both cases has been installed using Sernet packages. I had successfully run the classicupgrade process, but in subsequent testing found that in the 3.5 domain all the computer accounts have the posixAccount class and therefore have a uidNumber.

Samba4 ClassicUpgrade
Hi all. Problems resolved! I found the samba process that was increasing the memory after I ran the netstat from PID and I discovered that the process opened 88/464 tcp/udp port. After I ran tcpdump program in my DC server listening udp 88 port and I found many clients machines sending traffic a lot to my DC server. I blocked the ips from clients machines by iptables and the samba process
