LibreOffice locking up
I am running LibreOffice 5.3.6.1 under the latest update of CentOS 7 and the Mate desktop. Not infrequently LibreOffice Calc locks up and I have to force close the application. Altough the spreadsheet is rather large I would not consider it complex. This has been going on for some time and I am curious if the bug might be in LibreOffice or if there is some interaction with the Mate desktop that

libreoffice 5 slow after 7.3 update
Hello all, After the update to 7.3 libreoffice (5.0.6.2-3.el7.x86_64) became unusable slow. For an excel file with 250 rows even a simple scroll takes a few seconds, during that time the Xorg server is 100% working and the GPU utilization is at about 77% (from NVIDIA server settings). I have tried disabling the hardware acceleration (options->view) and OpenCL (options) but the problem and

Yum dependency failure installing latest LibreOffice
I've been bashing my head on the wall for 2 or 3 hours for something that should be (and has been, in the past) simple. Trying to install the latest LibreOffice downloaded from Libreoffice.org. I had 6.0.1.1 and downloaded 6.4.0.2, and kept getting dependency errors: --> Running transaction check ---> Package libobasis6.0-base.x86_64 0:6.0.4.2-2 will be installed ---> Package

Hi, I have similar problem for both oocalc and ooimpress. It happens at CentOS 6x, 7x and 8x. So I believe it's LibreOffice's bug, but I have no proof. There is no single package libreoffice in CentOS 8. Instead there are several packages for each libreoffice component like libreoffice-calc, libreoffice-draw and so on. You may like to install

GNOME, numeric keypad & commas
Hi, Our local school has a 100 % CentOS network on servers and desktops. Until recently, we were using a highly customized Xfce desktop environment. Last week I decided to migrate all desktops from Xfce to GNOME, which went quite well. Now I have to sand down some rough edges. The secretary complained that she can't use the numeric keypad as before. She's using LibreOffice Calc a lot,

A Neural Network question
People, I thought I needed to have some familiarity with NNs for some of my current (non-profit, brain-related) projects so I started looking at various programming environments including R and I got this working: http://gekkoquant.com/2012/05/26/neural-networks-with-r-simple-example however I needed pictures to help understand what was going on and then I found this:
