RPC server not available when windows client attempts to join samba AD
I am installing a new Samba 4.2 Active Directory server on CentOS 7. I followed the Wiki instructions on how to create the server. I am using sernet-samba 4.2 binaries. Everything seems to be OK on the Linux side but I cannot get any windows client to successfully join the domain. Each attempt returns the following error message "RPC Server in not available". AD accounts not available to OS
Hey guys, I'm setting up a Samba 4 AD DC server on Debian 8 (see pkg list below). Things are working relatively well except that I'm concerned that the domain accounts are not available to the OS. ie getent group "Domain Admins" returns nothing. I've implemented roaming profiles which is working very well but redirected folders are not and I'm thinking it's a

SAMBA AD DC Access Denied to Redirected Folders
Hi everyone, I'm re-posting this because my previous thread (see below) for whatever reason I cannot reply to. So I'm starting a new one in the hopes that I can respond to those who made suggestions and hopefully get to a solution. In a nutshell, I've got a SAMBA4 AD DC server running Debian 8 stable. It's setup for roaming profiles, home dirs and redirected folders. Randomly,

Windows 10 ADUC no properties window
Hi, Anyone know why I don't get the properties window when I try to create a new user or view a user's properties. Was working fine last week when I created 3 or 4 test users. I'm using the same workstation I had installed RSAT on and created the users with before. Any idea's? -- Regards, Phil
