Mathematical Program
My college professor has created a Math program for astronomy. I don't know what programming language it was built in but Wine will not run it. I want to ask him for the source code because I assume it was C so I might be able to make it so it runs on Linux. Until then do any of you know how this program will run?
It does not have a virus, trust me, this is strictly professional.

Fwd: Change notify/Directory enumeration issue with two MAC OS X El Capitan accessing same folder
Hi Folks,
We are seeing an issues where two OS X El Capitan clients opened a folder
and one of them creates a "New Folder" (untitled folder) and renames it, on
the other MAC client explorer the "unititled folder" remains same and
unable to access it.
Note: The samba version is 4.1.19 and we have not used the vfs_fruit
module.

Unable to PXE boot
I'm replacing the master node in a cluster and having issues PXE booting
the diskless nodes. The current master works fine, but the new node to
replace the current node which has the same setup is having the issues.
The hardware is:
Dell r920 (new master node, UEFI)
Dell r620's (diskless, BIOS)
Dell 1950's (diskless, BIOS)
When trying to boot, the 1950 node displays (though both

Internal calls without voice transport
Hey,
we're experiencing a weird problem with Asterisk 1.8.13.1
(1:1.8.13.1~dfsg1-3+deb7). Calls that leave and enter Asterisk via
a PBX (sipgate.de) work perfectly fine, almost 100% of the time.
However, calls that are routed to sipgate.de, which then routes the
call back to our Asterisk instance are "silent" most of the time.
What I mean with that is that even though RTP traffic

DVD NTSC video plays twice as fast when encoded with libtheora
https://roundup.ffmpeg.org/roundup/ffmpeg/issue1197
I had originally encountered this problem using ffmpeg2theora. I
switched to ffmpeg proper in an attempt to identify where the problem
was at, and found that the problem persisted. As a result I had
thought this was a problem with ffmpeg, but the ffmpeg folks seem to
indicate that this is specific to Theora (too much finger pointing I
think.) I

Help with parsing a data file
Hi All,
I need to parse data from a file, example shown below. The first two lines
can be skipped, the third line contains the column names. The next 13 lines
can be skipped. The next line "1991" is a year value, with the following 13
values data for that year. The file then repeats this format with (year, 13
lines of data for that year). I would ideally like to end up with an

Announcing FreeBSD 2.0.5 ALPHA!
It gives me great pleasure to announce the release of FreeBSD 2.0.5-ALPHA!
2.0.5A represents a significant improvement over FreeBSD 2.0R and is our
release-candidate for 2.0.5R later on this week. We're doing a short ALPHA
release in order to shake out any glaring bugs before rolling 2.0.5R and
moving on to 2.1R, which is the bigger goal. If you're looking for 2.1R,

qpois minor bug (PR#8058)
Full_Name: Mikael Weigelt
Version: 2.0

Submission from: (NULL) (207.171.180.101)
The calculation of the qpois attempts to use the Cornish-Fisher expansion as a
starting approximation. The definition of the expansion is incorrect. However,
since this approximation just gives an initial solution, the end result of the
function is still correct.
To fix the approximation, in the

This message is pointed directly to Steve Underwood. I tought it would not be nice to directly email him with a question that interests a good part of the Asterisk community, so here it is. :)
Steve, remember a few days ago when we discussed about issues on Asterisk 1.6.1.13 and T.38 fax reception? Well I opened an issue on Mantis (https://issues.asterisk.org/view.php?id=16756) and turns out it

I have set up a test environment with a pair of servers (actually lxc
containers):
