Can't make wine work... Wrong libraries loaded?
Hi everybody! I posted a message a few days ago about my difficulties in trying to make wine work. Doing some research I found out that wine can't work without the /tls libs since it now supports threads. Interistingly, though, I have the 3 versions of this library (/lib/pthreads, /lib/i686 and /lib/tls, which is a part of the Glibc package. My kernel is 2.6.16. As I could understood, wine

[Off Topic] Managed desktop virus scanner in Samba 3 Enviroment
Hi, As we are moving away from an NT based enviroment to SAMBA we are looking for a managed virus scanner for our desktops. Managed means: 1. Remote deployment 2. Updates from a local repository 3. Notification and reporting. The existing solutions (Symantec, TrendMicro, Mcafee) assume that you have an NT server. I would much rather have a Linux/Samba based managment console. Any ideas/leads?

Asterisk in support enviroment, some CTI maybe & RT integration?
Hi, Just wondering about using Asterisk for hosting a support line with a few distributed operators taking calls. My idea was for the calling party to be prompted for their support number (maybe a unique 4 digit number) this would then get looked up in a database and then place a pop up on the operators screen with details of the caller. I'm guessing that sort of thing is being done a lot,
