Unable to load roaming profiles samba-4.3 FreeBSD
I am seeing these in smb.log and each time I do it appears that the user in question is unable to retrieve their roaming profile. Does anyone know what is going on and more importantly, how to cure it? . . . Samba-4.3 FreeBSD-10.3 Roaming Profiles and User Home Drive Shares
We have set up a Samba-4.3 AD-DC on a FreeBSD-10.3 BHyve guest configured with UFS stoarge. The samba_server is provisioned and we can join the Domain and configure the server remotely using MMC snap-ins running on a MS Win-v7Pro workstation. We are at the point where we are implementing roaming profiles. We have followed the instructions found at:

Oplock break failed on sysvol share
Hi team! Samba 4.1.11 on Debian Wheezy here, configured as a DC. I recently started noticing long startup times for the Windows clients, whenever multiple clients are started at the same time. For example, at 8:00 AM (when around 30 PCs get started simoultaneously, I get this in smbd.log: ### [2014/09/16 08:01:21.320944, 0] ../source3/smbd/oplock.c:335(oplock_timeout_handler) Oplock break

smbd/oplock.c:oplock_timeout_handler(375) after samba upgrade
I recently upgraded from samba 3.0.10-1.fc3 to 3.0.21b-2 running on FC5. Today was the first day of a typing class which uses the network version of Mavis Beacon Typing which depends on file sharing. The users are hanging and then getting an error message during logging into the product. In /var/log/message, I can see the following message for each user similar to: [2006/04/24

Hi, just to keep you updated: The following trick seems to work for me: 1.) I stopped winbind on the cluster 2.) I deleted the cache: "net cash flush" Afterwards the result for "id testuser" was not quite the same like the result on the "old fileserver" 3.) I stopped the ctdb daemon 4.) I backuped /var/lib/samba/winbindd_cache.tdb on all nodes 5.) I restared

oplock problem samba4
Hi, ? I have some issues regarding oplocks on a samba DC (4.1.2). The server has a pretty much default configuration. I am using a multiuser database file on a samba share. With oplocks enabled I get a lot of errors in the logging like ?../source3/smbd/oplock.c:333(oplock_timeout_handler) Oplock break failed for file <filename> -- replying anyway? ?
