Thanks Stuart. I thought I had read somewhere that rebuild_index built the index in a different location and then swapped it, but after looking at the code (in local_index.rb) this doesn''t appear to be the case. That might explain why the ferret server crashes sometimes when a search takes place during a reindex. I wouldn''t be doing exactly the same thing as this but

Ferret-talk Digest, Vol 27, Issue 7
Thanks for the response Jens. Indeed I am sorting by something other than relevancy, so that would explain it. Optimized, it''s extremely fast and handles a good load, but new records kill it until I optimize. I haven''t tried :merge_factor as I wasn''t aware of it. I''m not sure it will help given the above. Regarding the re-index locking code,

Groups not updating on 3.5.10 (centos) or 3.6.12 (enterprise samba)
Hello everybody, we're trying to set-up Samba to share directories with Win users from some Linux servers. We've set up kerberos, gotten a ticket, joined the server to the domain, we get correct users/groups from "wbinfo" and "getent". The problem lies in "id": it does not update its user<->group mappings when they change on AD, even if

Using SQL "IN" with RJDBC or RMySQL
Hello, The code below works fine up until I try to use the "IN" statement in the last line. The proper SQL format is: SELECT * FROM this_table WHERE this_column IN (1,2,3,4,5) But, I think I may be getting something like: SELECT * FROM this_table WHERE this_column IN c(1,2,3,4,5) Which makes no sense in SQL. I think it may be just a matter of string massaging, but I'm not

multiple identical UPS on same server
Hi everyone, I installed latest version of Nut on Debian Wheezy 64bit. This is a virtual server hosted by VMware ESXi. It's a Nagios monitoring server. I configured one Sweex UPS in ups.conf and everything is working. ups.conf: [sweex1] driver = blazer_usb port = auto runtimecal = 1100,100,2200,50 Now I want to connect two more identical UPSes to the same server, total of 3

Tired Of Competing With Your Referrals For Referrals ? (PR#3251)
My name is James Hammond. We've worked on previous and current projects. We've been working on a multitude of projects...paying our fees and building our downlines. Have you noticed a big enough return for your efforts? Or, is it more of a scenario where you may see some profit, watch your downline unfold as they realise their downline isn't paying, and then be left paying a fee to

Samba and ldap referrals
All, If I set up a BDC with a replicated ldap server, can I point the "ldap backend" and "idmap backend" options *both* to the localhost and enable a referral on the slave so that writes (ie Idmap updates) will be referred to the master server? I'm running debian unstable with openldap 2.4 (and libs) and Samba 3.0.30. I know I should use the new idmap interface but this

Referrals/Success Stories would be greatly appreciated
Hello, I am looking to replace my company's Avaya Merlin Magix system with an Asterisk based PBX when our current lease is up. I had a meeting with upper management yesterday, and they would like some assurance that other companies are running Asterisk with success. We are a relatively small company, with about 70 total extensions. I would be purchasing a Dell Poweredge 2850
