samba sessions dying - NT_STATUS_INVALID_PARAMETER
Dear samba users & developers, I was hoping to seek some assistance on a problem I?ve been investigating for a number of weeks now. A brief summary would be that we have a number of Windows servers accessing UNC paths. In turn, these servers intermittently lose their ability to access the UNC paths. When this happens, restarting the application (IIS6 / 7) on the affected windows webserver

SASL DIGEST-MD5 NT_STATUS_INVALID_PARAMETER
That's too bad, I was trying to get the Vasco Identikey server working with samba4 as a backend for FIPS 140-2 compliant OTP, which will only bind with DIGEST-MD5. I guess I will have to join a Windows 2008 R2 to the domain as a domain controller. Thanks for clarifying, Arthur On 07/10/2015 04:38 AM, Andrew Bartlett wrote: > On Tue, 2015-07-07 at 15:10 -0500, Arthur Ramsey wrote:

winbind: NT_STATUS_INVALID_PARAMETER
Hi, I'm running a linux RedHat 7.2 box with samba 2.2.4. I want to use winbind for authentification. The samba server is a member server in a W2K domain. I followed the steps in the winbind help which comes with the samba distribution (http://localhost:901/swat/help/winbind.html). Joining the domain was successfull: $ smbpasswd -j DOMAIN -r PDC -U toto | INFO: Debug class all level = 100

ldbsearch returning NT_STATUS_INVALID_PARAMETER
I have a Samba DC connected to two Windows 2008 R2 DC's. On the Samba machine, if I run `ldbsearch -H ldaps://*SAMBA-DC-IP* -U administrator` It asks for my password and then works great. I can use any domain user and this works. However, if I instead run: `ldbsearch -H ldaps://10.120.160.12 -k1 --krb5-ccache=/tmp/krb5cc_0` I get this: Failed to bind - LDAP client internal error:

Newly joined DC - Failed to bind to uuid for ncacn_ip_tcp .. NT_STATUS_INVALID_PARAMETER
Following up on this post for the benefit of the archives, I don't want to be another DenverCoder9! [1] I believe I have fixed this issue now (although I am at a loss to explain how it occurred in the first place). Hopefully I correctly figured out what SPNs should be present against each machine - I'm not an expert in this area, but am describing the process I went through below in the

Samba 3.6.3 and NT_STATUS_INVALID_PARAMETER
I see strange errors when samba client tries to shrink file to 0 bytes. Samba runs on Ubuntu 12.04, client also Ubuntu. Samba sits on top of POSIX file system (FUSE implementation). I can see truncate is called correctly and no error is returned from my implementation. Any ideas? My Samba setup was working until several months ago. I didn't do anything to it that I can recall but it stopped letting my Windows VMs connect. When I use smbclient to try to connect, I get session setup failed: NT_STATUS_NO_LOGON_SERVERS My Internet searches have revealed that this is a comon and long-standing issue: frequently reported but I've had no luck finding anyone posting a
