I have created a second DC and joined it to my first DC. Seemed to go well, then not. Now experiencing dns issues. My syslog on first DC shows "Failed to connect host 192.168.xx.49 (22******c8._msdcs.dtshrm.dt) on port 135 - NT_STATUS_CONNECTION_REFUSED." (Which is referencing the second DC connection failed.) Once again, reading here and there and I am confused. I thought the W clients (both W7 and W10) reverse dns PTR records where added by the ADDC automatically. This mornings testing (nslookup of client IP addresses) is not finding clients via their IP addresses. (Forward lookups via hostname work fine.) Do we (users of samba4) need to add each W client to our dns servers? (Grated this would
