Problem handling excel 2010 files
Hi everyone,
I've recently migrated a file server/domain controller from a Windows 2012 Server to CentOS 7.2 with Samba 4.2.13 running on active directory role mode , everything is working fine except when handling Excel files, when you try to open a file it locks in read-only mode and there is no users accessing the file , anyway you can edit normally if you click on "Notify"

Hi Rowland
Thank you for your reply, i removed them but nothing changed :(, i also tried to remove others thing like the full_audit module to keep the settings simplest as possible but had no effect, i'll try to build samba with profiling support and debug with some tools like gdb which i don't have much experience but i'll try it.

I think the issue is permissions related. I changed the log location to
/tmp/audit.log and now it is populating. What should be the permissions for
/var/log/samba/audit.log?

There are no currently logon servers available when mapping with "net use"
Hi people, I have a problem and I need so much of your help.
I have a login script in \\server1\netlogon\script.bat (on my PDC and BDC)
that runs "net use" commands to map some shares in time of the logon.
This login tries to map share in another server (samba member of domain
\\server2).
So, I put the result at a log and appears these lines:
"
System error 1311 has occurred.

Macs deleting files off RHEL8 server.
I?ve got a situation with my Macs connecting to a Linux server via SMB
where files/folders are randomly getting deleted from the server. The
server logs are showing that a Mac is deleting them, but I know for a fact
that it?s not human error, as my users are very vigilant in that regard,
and the files/folders have no correlation to each other. Is there anyway of
finding out how/why my Macs are
