Therefore clients which ask the DNS for AD-DNS records often get the IP of a an interface as answer, which is not reachable. This slows down things like login etc. I removed the DNS entries of the

Help, DNS forwarding not working!
Hi Hmm, there is a problem with Bind9, if you reload the config, it falls over, everybody pointed at Bind9, but now I am not so sure. Could it be that it is actually a Samba problem ?? I am not sure, if this may be related. We had SAMBA-BIND-DNS problems after an upgrade from CentOS-7.4 to CentOS-7.5 We were running a self compiled samba 4.7 During the Upgrade from Centos-7.4 ->

classic upgrade with rfc2307bis
We are in the process of testing an upgrade of our NT-style domain on samba 3.6 and ldap backend to an AD on samba 4.4. The classic upgrade works fine so far the only problem we have is that all our groups are migrated without members. I think this is because we use rfc2307bis in our schema which uses "uniqueMember" instead of "memberUid" to link groups to users. Is there an

samba with acl support as member auf a samba controlled domain?
Hi I am running a Samba PDC and a Samba member server in his domain. The member server acts as a file server with unix acl's working. Is it possible to get these acl's working under samba to? The docs seem to say, that acl's are only possible if samba is a memberserver in an NT-Domain using winbind. In my case the PDC acts as a LDAP Server and the Member server is gets the unix

Changing printer properties caused infinite loop (samba-2.2.7, cups-1.1.16, Solaris 2.8)
Hi, we have a samba printserver 2.2.7 with cups 1.1.16 with about 15 HP Printers. The samba server runs under Solaris 2.8 and is a member of a NT4 controlled domain. Because of some problems setting the document defaults, I tried cupsaddsmb with the Adobe PS driver. The installation of the driver works fine, but some document defaults (eg. download as softfont instead of substitute with

Unit root
I am confused by obtaining different results when testing for unit root when using different packages. I have 2625 price entries for which I want to determine whether they exhibit unit root.
