Migration Samba4 and LDAP packages from CENTOS to DEBIAN
Hai Rowland, Can you add in the wiki.. If you are building Samba >= 4.5.0, you will also require libgpgme11-dev python-gpgme python-m2crypto And from debian backports you may need : debhelper dh-autoreconf dh-strip-nondeterminism libfile-stripnondeterminism-perl (At least, i did need them.) Migration Samba4 and LDAP packages from CENTOS to DEBIAN
Hai Rowland, Yes, that was for a debian package build. When compiling from source you can follow the wiki, thats ok. Upgrading from Debian Stretch to Buster, Van Belle package
Ah, ok, apt-get remove libldb1 ldb-tools Then try again : apt install samba winbind acl The replacement of libldb1 to libldb2 is missing something. I'll have a look at that. clang-ppc64be-linux-lnt flakiness
I threw all the sanitizers I had access to on this test and didn't find anything. The merging uses threads so I can't rule out nondeterminism. It's strange that it only happens on ppc64le and only on stage 2, so an actual miscompile wouldn't surprise me either. This just failed again: http://lab.llvm.org:8011/builders/clang-ppc64le-linux-multistage/builds/1579 Bill, could you take a look at this? Hi Bill, just a heads up but this bot seems to have spuriously failed on a build that only pulled in my commit r272505 which is unrelated. http://lab.llvm.org:8011/builders/clang-ppc64be-linux-lnt/builds/4883 -- Sean Silva -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Thanks for taking a look. The flaky ASan test failure in the OP was stage1 so it sounds like there may be multiple problems :( -- Sean Silva On Sun, Jun 12, 2016 at 7:32 AM, Benjamin Kramer <benny.kra at gmail.com> wrote: > I threw all the sanitizers I had access to on this test and didn't > find anything. I looked at this a bit a while back when you first asked but I didn't see anything obviously wrong. Benjamin, at least one of the referenced failures was on BE powerpc64. I don't remember if that one (http://lab.llvm.org:8011/builders/clang-ppc64be-linux-lnt/builds/4883) failed on stage 1 or 2 and the results pages are no longer available. BTW, I tried testing the same revision many

Problem with LDAP groups and associated file permissions
Hi folks! Our smb with LDAP PDC now seems to be nearly completed. Just now we found out something very mysterious. We organized some directorys to be used by specific domain groups. If we put a user into a group the user is allowed to access the associated share. So far this works pretty nice. If we remove the user from the domain group the user seems to keep all his rights he got from his group

Close to a 4.2 release; experimenting with Ragel alternatives
Hi Jason ! Hmmm, this is good and bad news: Good: ruby hooks means I could use a single pass to parse textile customizations in zena instead of running two parsers: nice. Bad: I have just switched to ragel for QueryBuilder to parse pseudo sql and I fear your shortcomings (if that''s an english phrase). Could you describe more precisely what you are missing with ragel ? I''m

Samba-LDAP TLS problems with inofficial Debian OpenLDAP 2.2 packages
Dear Torsten, dear samba list reader Three days ago I switched our domain from a NT 4 domaincontroller to Samba-OpenLDAP, controlled by a Debian Sarge system. I installed the following inofficial Debian OpenLDAP 2.2 packages (I know these are not supported, but TLS with OpenSSL is essential to us...): Package: slapd Version: 2.2.20-1.hrz.1 Package: libldap2.2 Version: 2.2.20-1.hrz.1
