Failure gpupdate
Just waking from my nap but several things:
A - I believe I read several times it is not advised to use ".local" as top
level domain.
B - samba-tool should not segfault during sysvolreset
C - most generally GPO update issue are linked to access rights of user or
computer accessing the share or the file(s).
I wouldn't bother for now about the A.
I would solve the segfault first (B).

Failure permission in Sysvol and GPO
Dear,
I'm having trouble handling GPO's my DC.
Environment:
Samba 4.4.5, primary and secondary DC.
I am not allowed to edit the GPO's.
The problem occurred after I edit the Default GPO in the primary DC, and then run the rsync to synchronize between the DC's.
The following errors arise when squeegee commands:
Note: I hid the actual domain name.

Failure gpupdate
Dear James and Lingpanda
Here I have 2 DC's running. Everything was running perfectly.
The problem started after I started to rsync to synchronize the Sysvol folder between DC's.
I believe it is a permission problem in the GPO's or Sysvol folder.
Another detail. Even accessing the gpedit Group Polic Manager via RSAT using the Administrator User, I can no longer edit any GPO. I get

I take it that 'sysvol' is at /var/lib/samba, change it if it isn't,
replace 'domain.tld' with your dns domain.

That is just an incorrect configured sysvol share.
The computer computer$ impersonates itself through user SYSTEM.
And that one does not have rights to gpt.ini.
Same for you...
I suggest, start reading here, it explains all.

Hello everyone!
Whenever replicate the Sysvol need to run the DC command that received
the data
/opt/samba/bin/samba-tool ntacl sysvolreset
This solves the problem (at least in min).

Problems with Secondary DC
My scenario:

DC2 = SRV15=secondary DC + Bind9
Both running Samba 4.4.5.
Through the Group Policy Management, when switching DC, when I try to connect to DC2, I get error message:

4.1.0 auditing : can't get only wanted vfs operations to log
HI all,
So I'd like to log the user's operations on some shares.
As I need to know who made what when.
I'd read a previous answer from Andrew about auditing, so I can see
loggued operations.
Modified smb.conf :

NT_STATUS_INTERNAL_ERROR
Dear Rowland
Strange thing is that I do not receive notification on my email about your answers.
Here we run an internal DNS. Samba was configured with Bind 9 as secondary DNS.
When I put in domain.local settings, it is because we omit the company name. But the name of my domain ends with .local.
I disabled Avahi daemon.
When I try to run the command you quoted:

I just got an INTERNAL ERROR: Signal 11 in smbd (4.12.10) in something that sids_to_unixids() in source3/winbindd/idmap_hash/idmap_has.c calls and 3 levels down - unfortunately the stack trace doesn?t say what it is - probably optimised into inline code or something.

DHCP update registration DNS Bind9
Dear Rowland,
I appreciate the initial contact and the hint that you sent.
I followed the tips presented in the wiki Samba and implemented the script on Centos 7.
Apparently it's working. I'll wait for the next hours work, to make sure it worked.
I have doubts:
- It is possible to manually perform the update script DNS? I tried to manually run but could not.
- Dhcpd that will
