I enabled logging at level 3 on my new 4.3.11-ubuntu (sylvia) system to
see why I was not opening a share properly from another system. The log
shows:

Override unjoined computername with SAMDOM to allow connection to share
Hi,
I have a Samba 4 domain (separate DC and file server), with a bunch of
Win/Mac/Lin domain joined machines, everything works on that side.
I have a machine with a read-only SOC which can't take a \ or @ in the
username, and in the samba file server logs, I see it is authenticating
with it's computername in place of the domain:

Sorry about that I typed and sent a full message, but it looks like the entire body got swallowed up in transit. Here is the full text again. Let's hope this one works.
I have a server running CentOS 7.9 with the system provided Samba packages (4.10.16-24.el7_9). It is joined to an Active Directory domain and acting as a member server. The active Directory domain has a user object with among

Ubuntu 18.04, bound to Windows AD, sssd auth, Samba 4.7.6: Can't get no share satisfaction
OK, At a loss for what to try next.
According to this page, it should be possible to make this work:
http://www.hexblot.com/blog/centos-7-active-directory-and-samba
However, I can't get AD users to authenticate when I run
net use * \\cns-cryo-road1\my_share /user:austin\pgoetz
Authenticating via ssh, su, or from the console using the same AD
UserName is not a problem.

pls. I have very little idea about pthreads and dl modules)
The main program asks the user to input the number of test instances. When

Samba loose the user forward as member Server
Hi,
Is your replication between you PDC and you member server working?
You can run "samba-tool drs showrepl". Which should help you determine
if the replication is functioning correctly.
Here is a related link to the Samba wiki that may help :-)
