Samba4 Centos 7 - CPU 100%
Just checked you smb.conf
Now i dont know the exact working of : samba-tool domain classicupgrade
Rowland know all about that but i see some things which might give the problems.
I’ll have to ask rowland to have a look in this..
But i do thinks that the “old samba 3 “ domain was not a domain.
I dont know if that hurts the upgrade.
Can you check if you have “2 x “ Administrator

Samba4 Centos 7 - CPU 100%
Sorry Rowland, my mistake.
We used this command:
samba-tool domain classicupgrade --dbdir=/usr/local/samba.PDC/dbdir
--use-xattrs=yes --realm=domain.br --dns-backend=SAMBA_INTERNAL
/usr/local/samba.PDC/etc/samba/smb.conf.PDC
Sorry about wrong information.

Problems joining Samba 4 in the domain
Hi,
I have 2 DC in my network.
DC master is a Samba 4 and the secondary is Windows Server 2008.
I want to put another Samba 4 as DC to replace Windows Server, however the
following errors are emerging:
root at samba4-dc2:~# samba-tool domain join empresa.com.br DC -k yes -d 3
lpcfg_load: refreshing parameters from /etc/samba/smb.conf

Join new DC to domain - advice to upgrade Samba 4.
Hello Guys,
I have a working Samba 4 DC running on Debian Stretch 9.9 with samba 4.5.16
and I would like to add a new Samba DC (on Debian Stretch 9.9 with the same
Samba version).
During the joining process I get the error WERR_DS_DRA_MISSING_PARENT. I
read this thread
https://lists.samba.org/archive/samba/2017-December/212938.html and
executed the samba_upgradedns on working DC as Rowland

WERR_DS_DRA_MISSING_PARENT while Joining Samba4 DC to Samba4 Domain
OK, we're getting closer here I think. I repeated with -d 2 without much help. Here is -d 3, which may point us in the right direction. As I suspected, it seems to point to some corruption in the DNS still, perhaps?
The key line seems to be here:
Missing parent while attempting to apply records: No parent with GUID 60e25dda-6d35-4aab-bfa5-6137cb271e27 found for object remotely known as

WERR_DS_DRA_MISSING_PARENT while Joining Samba4 DC to Samba4 Domain
Yes, I am running 4.7.3 on both servers. One has been upgraded (many times). The new one, obviously, is freshly installed.
I am running DNS on the domain controller. In fact, I'm running all the default "server services". As I said, I have had some problems in the past, and for a while the DNS was not working (perhaps due to some database corruption) and I had to switch it off in

Hello,
I inherited an Active directory in Windows in Spanish, after a lot of
work I was able to do the first synchronization to a DC in Samba.
Now I am at the stage that I want to remove Windows, but previously I
want to remove Windows.
I am trying to add another DC in Samba to advance and I am presented
with the following problem. I feel lost with these errors.

Good afternoon, tell me, this error occurs on the domain controller samba v
4.19.0, I paired the domain controller with sssd so that authentication
occurs under domain accounts on the domain controller, but as you know,
sssd changes the machine password every 30 days if this option is not
disabled

I haven?t disabled it for 30 days and as I understand it,

Joining Samba4 to existing AD
Hi,
I tried with the latest stable 4.5.x, but with no success.
Do you think you could share your smb.conf ? and also how you built from
source?
I suspect there's something missing in the KRB5 for Samba (due to KDC error
messages).
Thanks in advance!
