Cannot log into Samba4 AD/DC with ssh as domain user

domain user:
labmac:~ mark$ ssh mark at mail pwd

Permission denied, please try again.

It also fails if I am on the AD/DC an try the same ssh.
I've tried setting either the GSSAPIAuthentication or KerberosAuthentication in

Booting virtual machines automatically
Hello,
I am managing several virtual machines (a predefined set) with virsh, and I
would like to make sure that all VMs are booted when the host reboots.
What is the recommended approach for this?
Thanks,
Daniel Gonzalez

Samba4 DC/AD documents created in redirected folders with bogus UID
My up-front apologies if this topic has been covered. This is my first time
using this list and I don't know how to search for existing topics yet ...
I installed Samba4 on Linux Slackware 64 version 14.1 about 6 months ago. I set
up redirected folders for the Windows 7 Workstation users. All worked fine until
recently. Now, when several of the users create documents and folders on their

Samba4 DC/AD documents created in redirected folders with bogus UID
I just noticed that my fresh install of Samba 4.2.3 has the same behaviour.
I have a share (\\samba\it_share)) and some users when creating files have
the UID as 3000000 and some have their correct UIDs.
Share permissons are being controlled by Windows ACLs.

Excellent! Thank you. I've done that now, but I have more issues more appropriate to a reply to mathias' message following.

Where is krb5.keytab or equivalent?
I myself have dovecot running and auth is against a samba4 dc running on the same host.
Perhaps it can help you to let samba do the authentification.

Samba AD/DC, Single-Sign-On, domain users cannot change password
I have successfully joined my Linux/Ubuntu workstation to the Samaba AD/DC domain thanks to
help from Rowland Penny.
Now I face an interesting problem ... Domain users cannot change their password.
Domain users can successfully login to the Linux workstation using their domain credentials,
but when the user tries to change the password using "Passwords and Keys" from the desktop

does ldapsearch work in Samba4
Does ldapsearch work with Samba4 since it has it's own LDAP server? I've seen a
number of ldap related posts here and I'm trying to head down that road for
Dovecot authentication, but I'm getting stopped right away. For example, the
following doesn't work:
$ ldapsearch -xLLL -H ldap://localhost:389 \
-D "cn=Administrator,dc=HPRS,dc=local" -W -b

Where is password expiration notice period
In our password settings we have:

Password complexity: on
Store plaintext passwords: off
:
Minimum password age (days): 0
Maximum password age (days): 90
:
I don't find any setting for how many days before the expiration to warn users about the
pending expiration. On Windows, users seem to get notified about a pending password expiration
