WindowsPE 10.0 -- Samba 4.4.5 connection problem

Not really. Our Samba-production environment uses accounts. I just want to keep
the test Samba-cfg simple. (Even with Your change I can't connect. Same error).

Where are snapshots stored??
HI all,
I have created a snapshot for a kvm guest but only for one of disks
assigned to it:
qemu-img snapshot -c osvol_base /vmachines/vmtst/osvol.img
and qemu-img snapshot shows me:
Snapshot list:
ID TAG VM SIZE DATE VM CLOCK
1 osvol_base 0 2013-08-29 11:37:23 00:00:00.000
It seems ok, but where is this snapshot stored??

Update from 6.6 to 6.7 > automount logs error message
Hello,
after an update from 6.6 to 6.7 the following error message is logged to
/var/log/messages when I login (per ssh):
Aug 11 16:31:21 a1234 automount[1598]: set_tsd_user_vars: failed to get passwd
info from getpwuid_r
Checked all log-files of my systems running 6.6 with same configuration -- never
got such a message (We use NFS/autofs for home-directories, NIS and tcsh (login
shell)).

Moving a Samba PDC from Solaris 2.8 to CentOS 4.4
Hello,
I try to move a Samba-PDC (3.0.24) from Solaris 2.8 to CentOS 4.4 with the
guidance from:
http://www.samba.org/samba/docs/man/Samba-Guide/upgrades.html#id333969
(Replacing a Domain Controller)
At the moment I am trying this in a test environment. This means the
following (not the real names/IPs. Just for illustration ;-)):
smb.conf entries:
...
netbios name = smbtest

Problem joining to a Samba PDC (Probably caused by "unix charset")
Hello,
trying to join a Windows 7 64-Bit PC to a Samba PDC (3.6.5) fails with message
"Domain not found or no connection possible". After some testing I found that
the problem was caused by the Samba-parameter "unix charset = ISO8859-1".
When I start the nmbd with same config-file just without the "unix charset" the
PC can join the domain (smbd runs with org.

Update to Centos 7.7 / Arch ppc64le / Problem with nvidia driver
Hello,
today I updated a CentOS 7.6 ppc64le machine to CentOS 7.7. After reboot to the
new kernel (4.18.0-80.7.2.el7.ppc64le) dkms could not build the nvidia-module.
Error-message from dkms:
Compiler version check failed:

compile the kernel:
gcc version 8.3.1 20190311 (Red Hat 8.3.1-3) (GCC)

Samba4 as AD DC, with one anonymous read-only share
Hello all,
I have several Samba4 DCs that host various production shares. I need
one share, however, available as a read-only guest share (anonymous)
that will be used as a software distribution share point. I have been
unable to make it work (the servers prompt me for a valid username and
password on that share).
I have done some googling and it seems that this functionality might be
