How can Windows 2000 mount a share as a service?
I've asked every M$ expert I know, trolled through M$ TechNet, experimented with SRVANY/INSTSRV login scripts which hard-code username/passwords to login to a Samba 2.2.8a SMB server. I've experiment with and without the "Allow service to interact with Desktop" switch turned on. I am stuck. :( I can find no way to mount a share as a service, so that IIS can serve web-pages

Samba 4.10.6 for rhel7/centos7 rpms
Hi everyone, I've posted some updated source and binary rpms following the release of updates by the samba project. Updated rpms include samba-4.10.6 and ldb-1.5.5. Here are the links: - http://nova.polymtl.ca/~coyote/dist/samba/samba-4.10.6/RHEL7 As usual, these work fine for me (4.10.6) but YMMV. Please do report issues if you find some. Regards, Vincent

Moving from compiled to packages
I understand about using the newer binaries, but what I really want to "save" is the active directory. Sorry I should have been clear. I do not want to have to rejoin/recreate everything. Thanks. Samba 4.8.10 for rhel7/centos7 rpms
Adding Alexander (cc'ed, thank you) Hi Sergio, I found some hints (dating back almost a year ago) about why gnutls-3.4 might be needed: https://lists.samba.org/archive/samba-technical/2018-April/127282.html I don't know how much of this still holds true (I've been running an AD DC with rhel7's gnutls 3.3.z for over a year without apparent issues). Need help modding src.rpms to generate complete SAMBA AD DC binary RPMs for CentOS 8
When RHEL8 and CentOS8 were released, I was looking forward to setting up SAMBA as a AD DC server for CentOS8. But when I lifed the hood on the samba.spec file I found the option to build the samba-dc binary rpm has been disabled for rhel family builds. Apparently Red Hat does not want to support a unified SAMBA AD DC environment. I believe we have all of the componentns needed to set up a fully
