DNS Suddenly breaking
It's samba internal DNS. Only one DNS zone, and it's domain.domain.tld.
It'll function perfectly, and then cease to function at a random time.

Yes, it's set up with 8.8.8.8
I'm able to ping it without issues, jut not able to resolve anything
externally.

from both DC:
dig google.com
dig @8.8.8.8 google.com
First dig will use resolvers declared into /etc/resolv.conf.
Second dig forces usage of 8.8.8.8.
Both commands should reply the same things, on all DC.

To get recursion working with internal DNS you only need to set up:
dns forwarder = <IP of your main DNS>
Is it configured?
If yes and packets can go from your broken DC to "your main DNS" using TCP
and also UDP, there is an issue.

What kind of DNS, bind or internal?
With bind an samba 4.3.4 I have an issue and I have to restart bind an avahi:
s4slave named-sdb[8750]: error (connection refused) resolving 'thefreelanceforum.com/AAAA/IN': 192.12.94.30#53.
Only a restart of bind resolves this.

Validate Ids Multiple DC
Hello!
I have 2 Samba 4 server (4.3.3) as VC and other Samba 4 (4.3) as
Fileserver, until now all ok, but I'm one doubts, how to validate that
in both servers the domain IDs of the users of this identical, a simple
way to do this validation?
I wanted to make sure it is a DC die fileserver has to go 100%.
thank you

4.2.2 as AD with 2 DCs: database incoherency
Hi all,
I'm having a test AD domain composed with 2 DC, using Sernet's version of
Samba 4.2.2.
These two DC are Centos 6.6 (dc20) and Debian 7.8 (dc00).
These two are using TDB as a backend (as we have no other choice at this
stage of Samba's development).
*dc20*:~# ldbsearch -H $sam '(objectclass=group)' dn | tail -3
# returned 27392 records
# *27389* entries

Can one Samba 4 server provide an entire forest?
I successfully set up an AD domain controller for domain CORP.COMPANY.COM.
Is it possible to have SALES.CORP.COMPANY.COM and TECH.CORP.COMPANY.COM,
each with its own users, by using only that one Samba server? Or do I have
to set up a separate Samba server for each of those two domains, and have
each of them join the existing domain?

Samba43 ACL's issues
Hi there,
I'm having trouble with permissions and ACL's running samba43.
I want to be able to set permissions on a folder to an specific user.
I'm having a similar issue reported here
https://lists.samba.org/archive/samba/2010-July/156965.html
However my error message is slightly different:
When I set the permission on an specific user by creating a new folder

WG: After Upgrade to Samba-4.3.4
What I have done bevor updating to 4.3.4 and it was working until then.
I userd the map unix tab in ADUC and gave uid and gid to all users /groups but administrator.
This worked until the update. Now the dcs mix up only!!! group ids with computer ids (security tab)
