I just tried running it on Ubuntu 14.04 and that command works for me(with my details). It sounds like and issue with your ldbsearch. Not sure if you want to but if you send the sam.ldb I can try running it on my machine as well. But might have some sensitive things in there. I'm working my way off of our Windows 2003 R2 Domain Server. That machine is called PDC, sorry really bad planning so many years ago! So my end goal is to have two samba4 domain controllers. They are setup and joined as DC's, dc01 and dc02. I have most of my files off of PDC but would like to keep it up for a little longer to make sure I have everything off of there. So I tried

Hello, I transfered all fsmo-roles from a DC (4.3.11-SerNet, SLES 11 SP3) to another DC (4.6.6-SerNet, SLES 12 SP2). I had to try a couple of times because of an error "Failed FSMO transfer: NT_STATUS_IO_TIMEOUT" But then following error happened: samba-tool fsmo transfer --role=all This DC already has the 'rid' FSMO role This DC already has the 'pdc' FSMO role
