Problems with OS X 10.11.5
I disabled client signing from the client side, via OS X's global nsmb.conf
file: https://discussions.apple.com/message/30282470#30282470
The performance was back to over 600 MB/s, as compared to 60 MB/s with
signing.
It just seems a bit weird to me that Apple, in response to the Badlock bug,
would have changed the OS X client default to something with such drastic
performance implications,

horizontal fragmentation?
Hello Marc, I'm referring to divide/fragment de Database AD (if possible). Trying to store a set of Data in a DC and another set of data in other DC... something like this. I ask that, because I've been asked for a strategy or mechanism related to the scalability which based on the horizontal fragmentation of AD. Then, Does AD have some type of mechanism for supporting the horizontal

Samba on AIX - Active directory
On the IBM web site they have version 4.3.8.
I have not tested this IBM package as yet.
Another site that has compiled versions of samba is
http://www.bullfreeware.com/
I do not know if the packages on this site have been compiled with AD support or as AD-DC's.
You can use smbd -b to find out what configure options samba was built with.
I used to do my own compilation/builds of samba but I

Hi,
know I have another problem. I compiled samba 4.4.4 on a Centos 7.2
Server no special options for ./configure.
Afterwards I followed the article from mentioned below wiki article
below, to join Centos 7.2 as an member server to our existing AD.
WIKI Article:

Now, if i type id USERNAME I only get the users UID, GID and

well, setup a proper OS with a recent samba in a virtual machine and
just use that directly from the AIX machine or mount the
samba-sharepoint with NFS on the AIX machine would be a simple solution

I believe Metze's patches require OpenSSL, but he needs to comment on
that.

install opt-samba-base on aix 5.3
I am trying to install samba 3.0.24 on aix 5.3. I have downlaoded the binaries
from samba.org and I am using the directions found at:
http://us4.samba.org/samba/ftp/Binary_Packages/AIX/
The directions dont specify installing the base. WHen I try to install the
pware 3.0.24, it fails due to required packages missing.
I do not see a way to get opt-samba-base installed.

krb5 library issues when Compiling 3.5.2 and 3.4.7 on AIX 5.3
I have been trying to configure/compile Samba 3.5.2 and 3.4.7 on AIX 5.3 with ML-11 and ML-10.
The configure issues that I am getting only occur if I use --with-ads.
I can run configure on both versions if I do not include ADS support.
The errors I get are:

I have found the samba which is provided

Authentication problem with samba 3.3.4 on AIX 5.3
Hello all,
we currently do have a problem with samba 3.3.4 on AIX 5.3.
We have set up the samba system to integrate in our AD Domain.
Integration was successfull (net ads join), wbinfo executes with parameters
-ugt without any problems.
Our smb.conf content follows at the end of this mail.
We have defined just one share as follows:
[smbtest]
writeable = yes
path = /gpfs/fbb/ls/cip
