Samba4 openchange status
I strongly and completely disagree with statement that is "IMHO the need for openchange is disappearing. " It is the only and one project/soft providing Exchange functionality on Linux platform. 21.04.2016 17:24, Neil Price пишет: > On 21/04/2016 09:53, Mueller wrote: >> Hallo to all, >> >> does anyone know about the status of openchange ? >> It sems to

How do you join a Linux mailserver to a Samba domain?
SOGo/Openchange is not willing i f it is not holding the fsmo roles. And by the way in an multiple DC replicating environment you can kill your domain on the fly even with a real "Exchange-Server" if you are not carefull enough. So the only way to make OPenchange live in your domain ist o join it as dc. And status of development as far as I know this is hard to do. Or you manage to

samba (via openchange) panic when checking username in outlook
Hi all I installed Sogo + OpenChange following the user guides (http://www.sogo.nu/downloads/documentation.html), on a CentOS6. The only difference from the official way is I have a 4.1.7 Samba I built using Sogo specfile, where I added the "--enable-debug" "./configure" option: http://pastebin.com/P129yhu2 All but the samba4 RPM is from the Sogo repository. Using it

testing samba 4 alongside samba 3
** hello folks, all started with searching for an MS exchange server connector to fetch my office my by Thunderbord on my private machine. So far I used Davmaill (OWA) but I'm not that satisfied, so I found OpenChange but that needs Samba4 installed on my NAS. So I was checking the Samba wiki and mailing archive but I'm bit confused. There are several version available, plus franky, what

Windows 10 does not register dns in samba 4.3.4
Are your running more domains on this samba server, this is the primary domain? tplk.loc ? The settings below looks good, you can try setting ipv4 preffered over ipv6 ( or disable ipv6) You can try also it with a fixed primary dns suffix. https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc786695(v=ws.10).aspx 1.Open the Network Connections folder and view available connections. 2.Right-click the

Implement Samba4 AD
Hello, in our two hospitals, with 700 PCs and 1200 Users, all our fileservers are samba 3. We don't have AD, but we have a domain based on openLDAP and samba. We have to change to AD. Is samba4 stable enought to implement it, maybe in a samba3 fileserver / samba4 AD combination ? Can we expect to get some support from the experts in this group ? If I get a positive answer I will post

DNS Suddenly breaking
It's samba internal DNS. Only one DNS zone, and it's domain.domain.tld. It'll function perfectly, and then cease to function at a random time. Samba 4.0.7 DC in Windows 2003R2 AD
Greetings, The ultimate goal is a full implementation of Samba4/OpenChange/SOGo but that onion has too many layers to shoot for the whole thing at once. So, I've added a Samba/Ubuntu12.04 DC to the AD and want to get it totally correct before proceeding with OC. I have two questions (at the moment): First, PAM is not included on the Samba DC and I need to know if it is a requirement. The

Samba 4 and Windows 10 Problem.
Hi Daniel,  In that example that I wrote, I didn't create users yet, because I did public share only, but windows tell that I don't have permission. Do I need to create groups and users to that situation too? But when I add private share, I create local users (add user) and samba user, but when I type user and password Samba answer that I don't have permission too.I think the problem

How do you join a Linux mailserver to a Samba domain?
I'm running Samba 4.1.6, Ubuntu 14.04 with Dovecot, Postfix & SOGo When I try to connect to the mailserver via Thunderbird, it gives me a specific error -- Unable to open the summary file for Inbox. Perhaps there was an error on disc, or the full path is too long. I've looked at (and reset) file permissions on the local drive where mail is stored but not the mailserver, and
