Multi tenancy and/or Hosted AD like solution
Thanks Andrew, I've a few ideas on the go with a client atm, will need to scrap out some of the data before sharing, But like you said stateless-ness is the way i'm trying to go here. We have a central backend that we hope can build/re-provision samba in a container on a per tenant bases. However migrating and updating SAMBA binary with a "state volume" is something still an

Multi tenancy setup by Tinc?
Hi, Tinc expert For use case of multi-tenancy use case, should I use multiple netnames (/etc/tinc/tenant1, /etc/tinc/tenant2/, etc.) for the network, so that even different tenant have overlapped network address will be possible to work in the same physical host? or can not?

Multi tenancy setup by Tinc?
Hi, Guus The use case the shared default gateway for multi-tenant, if that the case the node who own the default gateway will have problem to route with different tenant who has overlapped address scope? Is it true when no any other tools like the namespaces? (tenant1)\ (tenant2)——common node—— shared gw node—— Internet (tenant3)/ But if the each tenant have it’s dedicate default gateway, but

Container setup?
Hello, I am trying to figure out, whether there are any best practices how to run a Samba AD DC in a container. First of all: why a container? Because obviously containers require less resources and are easier to update than multiple linux systems ? and I want to spend some of the savings into redundancy (multiple DCs, also distributed to serve different locations). Googling around I found

Best solution for remote sites
Hi, I was wondering if there was a possibility for remote sites to avoid having a "local" domain controller (Samba 4 AD DC) and still provide share access while WAN link is down. Something like the Windows credential cache on workstation. Regards

Installing 6.8 from DVD1.iso, changes
Downloaded 6.8 DVD1.iso, dd to stick. Went through same selections I have gone through since 6.2, only this time it got to the end and stated it couldn't find rear, which is under "backup client". OK, try it again without rear. This time it's yum-plugin-ovl from base (?). Then chrony, also in base (?). Then flightrecorder, libreswan, at least 2 of openmpi & co. and

Server multi channel support in Samba 4.7.5
In Samba 4.7.5, the man page for smb.conf contains the following text: " This boolean parameter controls whether smbd(8) will support SMB3            multi-channel.            This parameter has been added with version 4.4.            Warning: Note that this feature is considered experimental in Samba            4.4. nbdkit / exposing disk images in containers
KubeVirt is a custom resource (a kind of plugin) for Kubernetes which adds support for running virtual machines. As part of this they have the same problems as everyone else of how to import large disk images into the system for pets, templates, etc. As part of the project they've defined a format for embedding a disk image into a container (unclear why? perhaps so these can be distributed

cloud solution?
So if someone has their own hardware and infrastructure but wants a software (not FreePBX but perhaps similar) what options do we have? Would like to virtualize it and not stuck with any one virtualization technology. Discuss... :) Travis -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

Machine learning and compiler optimizations: using inter-procedural analysis to select optimizations
1. Thanks for the clarifications. I will stick to non-containerized OS X for now. 2. As an aside, I did try to build a Debian docker container by git cloning into it and using the Dockerfile in LLVM/utils/docker as a starting point: - some changes needed to updated packages (GCC in particular needs to be latest) and the Debian image (Debian 9 instead of Debian 8) pretty much sets up the docker

Machine learning and compiler optimizations: using inter-procedural analysis to select optimizations
Hi Johannes: 1. Attached is the submitted PDF. 2. I have a notes section where I state: I am still unsure of the GPU extension I proposed as I dont know how LLVM plays into the GPU cross over space like how nvcc (Nvidia's compiler integrates gcc and PTX) does.I dont know if there is a chance that function graphs in the CPU+GPU name spaces are seamless/continupus within nvcc or if nvcc is just
