Unable to transfer ForestDns/DomainDNS
I'm working my way off of our Windows 2003 R2 Domain Server. That machine is called PDC, sorry really bad planning so many years ago! So my end goal is to have two samba4 domain controllers. They are setup and joined as DC's, dc01 and dc02. I have most of my files off of PDC but would like to keep it up for a little longer to make sure I have everything off of there. So I tried

Asterisk Inbound calls, multiple SIP accounts, calledID
Hi Dmitriy and others and thanks for your help so far. The option "match_auth_username=yes" seems to have had no effect. From my reading, this option will try to match the username of the incoming SIP account to a section heading. If that is how it must work then i can see a big problem. I'm trying to present the receptionist with a nice display of which line the call came in on.

SIP permit/deny
I have the following in sip.conf. It was my understanding that this configuration (ie with deny/permit) would only allow connections from hosts 192.168.10.4 and 192.168.10.5. That doesn't seem to be the case. Asterisk is accepting INVITE's from other addresses. Errors transferring forestdns and domaindns FSMO roles
I am attempting to transfer the all FSMO roles from an old DC to our new DC. Both DCs are running Samba 4.7.3. I have transferred the Schma, Infrastructure, RID, PDC and Naming roles without issue. unfortunately, the forestdns and domaindns roles are giving me grief. Here is the output of the commands root at dc1:~# samba-tool fsmo transfer --role=forestdns ldb_wrap open of secrets.ldb

Asterisk in pass-thru mode
Hi all, Below is what I did to run Asterisk in pass-thru mode: sip.conf: [general] disallow=all allow=ulaw canreinvite=yes For each channel, canreinvite=yes is enabled. No dial command has 't' option. However, it seems that Asterisk still stay in the media path and bridge the 2 end points. Am I missing something??? sip*CLI> show channels Channel (Context Extension

Handful of files are giving me error 13, directory executable bit issue
I am getting a handful of these errors, and I am not sure why. The directories in question have rights like this: drw-r--r-- 2 osstbb osstbb 42 2008-05-02 00:04 12981826/ As root, why would it matter if it has executability? I can read it just fine on the server. Or is it an issue when it tries to create it on the -client- ? Is there a way to fix this? I can chmod 0755 the dirs on the server

I have a CentOS4.4 workstation (called linux01) which needs to connect to the shares on each XP workstation without using local xp accounts. I have a network account in both the AD and NT4 domain with the same password as on the linux machine. Samba is installed on Linux01

Failed to transfer all 7 FSMOs
Hello, I tested to transfer all 7 FSMOs from Windows Server 2003 Enterprise to Samba 4.3.0 DC. (I think some users still use Win2K3 and want to migrate.) But unfortunately is failed. To reproduce, (1) Promoto Win2K3R2 Enterprise host to first DC. (2) Join self-built Samba 4.3.0 to the domain. (3) Run 'samba-tool fsmo transfer --role=all' root at jessie64-1:~# samba-tool fsmo
