Remote Desktop Users Group not working??
Hi
My next try is to create the group myself, but the point here was that the Builtin group created by the provisioning of Samba, doesn't work...

Remote Desktop Users Group not working??
Hai,
You must have mist something..
I did it as followed in the GPO settings.
I created a "DOMAIN\Allow-RDP" group in the AD. Added users to this group.
In the GPO, i used "default computer"
Policies - Windows settings - security settings - Restricted groups.
Here add your DOMAIN\Allow-RDP to the Remote Desktop Users.
And

Remote Desktop Users Group not working??
Hi,
If I'm not mistaken, the Remote Desktop Users is a local group. Si as
Said Louis, you'll have to create a domain group that will be added to
the local group on each machin through GPO

pwdLastSet, password required to change (samba vs MSAD)
Hi,
We are using keycloak with our samba-4.4.4 AD environment. (an ldaps
client application)
Keycloak is able to ask users to change their passwords, when the
checkbox "require password change upon next logon" is set in ADUC.
However, in our environment (samba-4.4.4) keycloak simply refuses the
logons when tht checkbox is set. ("bad username or password")

sysvolcheck on fresh samba 4.7 DCs
Hi,
I joined a new samba-4.7 DC to our AD, replicated everything over, then
turned off the old DCs, seized fsmo roles, and added two extra 4.7 DCs.
Everything above succeeded without warnings, and everything seems to be
running very well finally, except for the sysvolcheck / sysvolreset.
We're on xfs, and the File System Support checks on the samba wiki page
all pass, although at the

samba-3.4.7 & access to share from win7
Hello list,
I have tried rather much (forums, google) and trying this as the last option. The problem is that one is not able to access "group" samba shares from windows 7 machines, everything ok from win-ts-2003 & xp machines. Every user belongs to his primary group defined in samba+openldap pdc. If they want to access the share named according to their primary group (with

Segmentation Fault when trying to set root samba password, IPA as a backend
Hi
This is samba-4.2.3-11.el7_2.x86_64 on CentOS...
I'm trying to setup a Samba NT4 domain, with FreeIPA as a backend...
Right now everything works.. except that I need a Domain Adminstrator...
smbpasswd -a root, segfaults... probably because the user doesn't exist in FreeIPA
If I create the root user in FreeIPA, it instead gives:
[root at bart samba]# LANG=en smbpasswd -a root
