Kerberos: Server not found in database...no such entry found in hdb
Hi, i have a server with samba 4.1.5 and i want to authenticate my
mail server against samba via Kerberos.
The protocols envolved are pop and imap, as you know, then i created
two users: imap and pop:
samba-tool user add pop --random-password
samba-tool user imap pop --random-password
and later i created two Service Principal Names for these users:
samba-tool spn add pop/mailserver.domain.cu at

DC Upgrade from 4.1.7 to 4.6.7
Hello all,
Our Samba AD DC is running perfectly for years with the following basic
setup (see smb.conf below) :
- one DC running Samba 4.1.7 / CentOS 6.5 (compiled from sources)
- internal DNS
- this DC is also a Print Server
- about 400 PC workstations (mainly win7 Pro / win10 Pro and some XP
Pro), and about 300 users
- several Synology NAS file servers

Samba4 join new DC: No RID Set DN - Failed to add RID Set
Hi,
I have a Samba4 domain consisting of two 4.0.6 Samba servers, in two
different AD sites.
I am trying to join a new 4.0.7 Samba server as a DC.
Previously, I had had some issues caused by hardware failure of one of the
DCs; I have learnt my lesson about checking backups properly, as it took me
a surprisingly (for me) long time to recover from this (there was no FSMO
after the failure and I

gentoo pxelinux boot - pass hostname to dhcp client
Hello all,
I have finally successfully booted a diskless NFS Gentoo client and I
am very pleased with it!
I only have one issue left I'd like to understand; the master Gentoo
server that I based my diskless image from boots nicely via dhcp and
accepts the hostname parameter its DHCP server passes along with its
leased IP address. I have posted in the Gentoo forum, but thought I'd

Xen-4.3.0-rc2 tagged
Xen 4.3.0-rc1 has been tagged, and a tarball is available from the wiki.
Please note, there is one fairly major known bug in this release
relating to the RTC clock. Windows 2003 is known not to install or
boot at the moment. A fix has been checked in, but did not make it
through testing in time to hit rc2; it should be included in rc3.
In the mean time, if you find an operating system *other*

[LLVMdev] Will gcc 4.3.0 compile llvm 2.2?
Hi!
I'm trying to compile llvm 2.2 with gcc 4.3.0 on FC8.
My compile is failing with the following error(s):
error: invalid use of incomplete type 'struct std::basic_ostream<char,
std::char_traits<char> >'
If you've run into this, how did you get around this issue?
thx in advance!

Hello, Bernardo

2.2 release won't compile with gcc 4.3. Please either use current svn
version or change version of your gcc :)

[LLVMdev] Will gcc 4.3.0 compile llvm 2.2?
Hi, Bernardo
Fedora has a patch for LLVM 2.2 release with gcc 4.3 here:
http://cvs.fedora.redhat.com/viewcvs/rpms/llvm/devel/llvm-2.2-gcc43.patch
Just drop it in the llvm-2.2 directory and execute
$ patch -p1 < llvm-2.2-gcc43.patch
It should build cleanly afterwards.

Bug#726827: Still present in 4.3.0-3
Now that Xen version 4.3.0-3 is in testing, I see that this same bug,
initially seen in 4.1.4-4, is still present in 4.3.0-3. The same fix works.

451 4.3.0 Temporary internal failure
Hi,
according to dovecot.conf lmtp stores all mails temporarily in "/tmp/"
that are bigger than 256KB. You can change the directory in dovecot.conf
or you should increase the /tmp/ size. It could be that /tmp/ is a
ramdisk. Check /etc/fstab.
Which os you are using?
What does "df -hT" say?
What does /etc/fstab say?
Regards

4.3.0 classicupgrade segfault
Greetings - On a CentOS 6 system, I compiled Samba 4.3.0 successfully
(and 'make quicktest' reports "ALL OK") but when I attempt to do a
classicupgrade I get a segmentation fault:
Reading smb.conf

Exporting users

In the system message log, a python error is reported:
