Suggestions for cross site domain
Possibly but then that would mean DNS is working for IPv6 but not for
v4. I'll look into the DNS side, I'm more familiar with Bind than I am
with Samba's internal DNS so time for more reading.
Thanks,
Wayne

Apologies, managed to venture onto the dreaded 2nd page of Google and
found an answer.
If anyone gets stuck add --server to the end of the command and this
points samba-tool directly to the DC you wish to use for joining.
E.g. my dc of ukads001.int.thevoiceasia.com makes this command:
sudo samba-tool domain join int.thevoiceasia.com DC -Uadministrator
--realm=int.thevoiceasia.com
into
sudo

drs showrepl failures
Hi all,
I've been having DNS issues for about 3 months which is causing all
sorts of weird problems (most things work fine but then we have days
where random machines lose trust/can't login without un-joining and
rejoining the domain). The domain was working with no problems for
nearly 5 months before this started happening.
I have Ubuntu 14.04 running Samba 4.1.6 using the internal

Suggestions for cross site domain
Hi all,
I have two offices connected via a VPN with approximately 200ms
latency. About 9 months ago I moved our UK office from a Samba 3 domain
to a new Samba 4 domain. At the same time, as a test, I connected up a
DC server in India to the same Samba 4 domain, all was good.
Roll forwards to two weeks ago, I am starting to push out Samba 4 in
India. I hooked up a second server in India

RNDC errors using SAMBA_INTERNAL_DNS
Hi all,
I've set up a simple domain using Samba 4.4.2 from source under Ubuntu
16.04.
I accepted the usual defaults and basically followed wiki.samba.org to
the letter. The main thing is I'm using Samba's internal DNS and not
Bind (Bind is not even installed on the system).
In the log.samba file on the first DC I kept getting this:
[2016/04/28 17:01:02.716292, 0]

Unable to join a DC to a Site that doesn't already have a DC in that subnet
Hi all,
Am having problems adding a new DC to a Site that doesn't already have a DC
in the same subnet. Whenever I try and do a domain join specifying a nearby
DC in a different subnet I get this:
ERROR(runtime): uncaught exception - (-1073741643, 'NT_STATUS_IO_TIMEOUT')

Greetings,
I'm not sure what else to add. If you need more info please let me know.
Any input is greatly appreciated.

Add DC to a site using command line
Hi all,
Is there a command line to add DC to some site?
The idea is to have a domain with several sites. If the whole AD database
get corrupt I would restore some backup to recreate the first DC (the one
with FSMO) then I'll join all others DC to that domain to force them to
rebuild their database according to the one restored.
Doing that I'll get all DC with the right DB but also in

[LLVMdev] Fixes for windows version
I have some patches of my own:
* An improvement on Morten's fix to Signals.cpp.
* Undo the breakage to system.vcproj (Signals.cpp was being built twice
as a result).
* Fix a class/struct inconsistency.
* Remove unneeded #includes from win32 fSystem files.
I've also determined why VC++ complains about deprecated destructors
when using hash_map. Because it's not ANSI (yet),

[LLVMdev] Inline Symbolication with -gsplit-dwarf
So, after many shenanigans, we finally have -gmlt-like inline summary debug
info in .debug_info when using -gsplit-dwarf (see r221306). Hooray \o/
Testing this with asan, it seems to be working:
Given a simple example of inlining failure:
$ cat asan.cpp
__attribute__((always_inline)) inline void func(int* i) { *i = 3; }
int main() {
func(nullptr);
}
