online increase of zfs after LUN increase ?
Hello, There is a feature of zfs (autoexpand, or zpool online -e ) that it can consume the increased LUN immediately and increase the zpool size. That would be a very useful ( vital ) feature in enterprise environment. Though when I tried to use it, it did not work. LUN expanded and visible in format, but zpool did not increase. I found a bug SUNBUG:6430818 (Solaris Does Not Automatically

Asterisk SIP Packet Time (20ms)
Hi, I have a question regarding the Asterisk Packet Time for SIP Calls. It is hardcoded at 20ms but when I do an RTP Analysis on a stream it is clear that these packets are not spaced out at 20ms. In general you see something like: Packet 50 - Delay 50ms Packet 51 - Delay 5ms Packet 52 - Delay 5ms Packet 53 - Delay 50ms Packet 54 - Delay 5ms Packet 55 - Delay 5ms Is there anyway to space

Problem with dynamic DNS
Hi! We are facing problems with Windows 10 and dynamic DNS. The problem is that samba_dlz prevents AAAA deletion. Can we permit AAAA somehow or fix this? Disabling IPv6 and removing IPv6 driver from interface made no difference whatsoever. This works on Windows 7 just fine. Samba version: 4.1.6-Ubuntu We see the following with wireshark: Domain Name System (query) Transaction ID: 0x8aa4

using a string as the formula in rlm
Hi, I am trying to build a series of rlm models. I have my data frame and the models will be built using various coulmns of the data frame. Thus a series of models would be m1 <- rlm(V1 ~ V2 + V3 + V4, data) m2 <- rlm(V1 ~ V2 + V5 + V7, data) m3 <- rlm(V1 ~ V2 + V8 + V9, data) I would like to automate this. Is it possible to use a string in place of the formula? I tried doing: fmla

[patch] network dissector for rsync
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 G'day. Please find attached a basic ethereal dissector for the rsync network (client/server) protocol. I have only lightly tested it. I am not sure how much more time I can spend on this, so I am releasing it "as is". Admitedly, this dissector doesn't do a real lot, but it should provide a basis for identifying further work

Unable to libvirt wireshark dissector
Hi guys, I am trying to analyze libvirt rpc protocol by wireshark. But I found wireshark doesn't dissect libvirt packets. Here are my environments operations: 1. Re: unable to dissect libvirt rpc packets using wireshark plugin
Hi Michal, Thank you for your suggestion. My apologies that I took sometime to get back on further confirmation. Regrettably, my tshark is still unable to find libvirt payload inside packet capture, though it lists libvirt as a possible filter. # rpm -ql libvirt-wireshark-1.2.9.3-2.fc21.x86_64 /usr/lib64/wireshark/plugins/1.12.5/libvirt.so As I used wireshark 1.12.6 version, I

Re: unable to dissect libvirt rpc packets using wireshark plugin
Thank you Michal. With your pcap, I could confirm that, libvirt dissector worked in my environment as well. Yes, it could be that, my pcap do not have libvirt rpc packets correctly though I would have expected. I am checking on it. DDNS and DHCP problems
Hello all, I have two new server samba4, with isc-dhcp and Bind. ( Thanks to Louis 's scripts ) The AD was migrate from 2 Windows 2000 servers last friday, with a copy of them in a private lan. Today we have shutdown the old windows 2000 server and put the 2 new samba4 in place of them. The problem is that the DHCP does not update the DNS systematically... That works with laptops ( which

Log spam "Failed to bind to uuid ..."
Hi, I recently replaced an ageing server running Samba 4.5.10 with one running Samba 4.11.8. They both run FreeBSD / ZFS. The site is setup as an AD (I wrote https://wiki.freebsd.org/Samba4ZFS while doing it). My original plan was to join the new server to the domain, shut down the old one and rename it but renamedc complained the old name was still present so I just keep the name (gateway2).

unable to dissect libvirt rpc packets using wireshark plugin
Hi, I am trying libvirt plugin in wireshark to dissect RPC payload in TCP, but finding dissector code not really working. [Patch] Drop Frames in Cortado
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 The attached patch allows frames to be dropped in Cortado: Why: Currently, frames cannot truly be dropped in Cortado. If the decoded YUV arrives too late at the videosink, it will not be converted to RGB, but every frame must still be decoded. On slow systems, once the queue of undecoded Theora packets fills up, the video decoder will block the ogg

Dynamic DNS Updates
Having reconfigured Samba4 to use BIND as a DNS server to get dynamic DNS updates working, I'm still working to understand the system. The Windows client I'm testing only seems up update DNS if I run ipconfig /registerdns. It doesn't update DNS at startup or IP change OOTB. Is it expected that Windows clients run a startup script running ipconfig /registerdns or have dynamic updates
