GPO problems on a 4.1.6 AD, classicupgraded, uncaught exception
Hi all,
We'er running a classicupgraded samba4 AD 4.1.6 sernet for a month or
two now, and all is very well. :-) It has been classicupgraded using the
same 4.1.6.
Today I wanted to try GPO's and they are not applied. GPUpdate /force
tells me:
"Windows attempted to read the file blahblah\gpt.ini
from a domain controller and was not successful".

SYSVOL ACLs and GPOs
Hi,
I have installed a virtual testing network consisting of one samba4 PDC
(latest git master) and one Windows XP Pro SP3 (fully updated)machine.
I have successfully provisioned an AD Domain and joined the XP machine
to it.
When I run the gpmc on the XP Pro machine and select:

request: HOWTO for Samba4.latest AD PDC
I'm looking for an up-to-date howto on using Samba as an AD PDC. I've been
using Samba since the days of yore, but have recently acquired the
resources to take another stab at implementing an AD system using Samba.
Perhaps it has escaped notice that the page with the link text "Official
HOWTO" on samba.org points to

Can't create/update Group Policy in Samba 4.6.5
Hi,
My DC doesn't know domains users and groups by name, only by uid/gid.
Ex: chmod mike:'EMPRESA\unix_admins' test
chown: invalid group mike:EMPRESA\\unix_admins
if run with GID work properly
chmod mike:30059 test
drwxr-xr-x 2 root 30059 4096 Jul 6 00:17 test
There is unix_admins group
wbinfo --gid-info 30059

Disabling Roaming Profile Support
The question often asked is, ?How may I enforce use of local profiles?? or ?How

There are three ways of doing this:

Problems with sysvolcheck
Hello,
I have problems getting GPOs applied on clients.
Running the command samba-tool ntacl sysvolcheck I get a file not found error.
I have tried to provision the domain in a virtual machine and transfer
the sysvol files with rsync But the problem persists.
samba version: 4.4.5
how could completely remove the default policy to try to fix the problem?
Best regards,
Santiago.
