Linking against a specific Berkeley DB install
I sent this question to the OpenLDAP list yesterday, but I still haven't
seen the message come across the list. I am asking here in the hopes of
getting a faster response.
I am trying to compile OpenLDAP 2.3.11 from source on CentOS4. I have the
rpm for db4-4.2.52-7.1 installed and also a source build of BerkeleyDB in
/usr/local/BerkeleyDB.4.4.
How do I get OpenLDAP to link with the bdb

Replacing a hard drive
I have a CentOS 4.4 system where all of the main filesystems are on a
single hard drive. This drive is starting to give some errors, so I got
a new (larger) drive to replace it with. What is the easiest way to
copy my filesystems over to the new drive?
I considered using dd, but I lose the extra capacity of the new drive
that way.
I tried using SystemImager, but it is giving me some errors.

An apply and rep question
Hi list,
I'm sure the explanation must be laughably simple to the experts out
there, but I just could figure it out. I have a simple data frame that
looks like,
>head(da.off)
DDate OffP
1 2005-01-01 41.23
2 2005-01-02 44.86
3 2005-01-03 44.86
4 2005-01-04 43.01
5 2005-01-05 45.47
6 2005-01-06 48.62
where the first column DDate currently is character, and OffP is
numeric.
I want

Best practices in developing package: From a single file
Dear R developers,
I am wondering what are the best practices for developing an R
package. I am aware of Hadley Wickham's best practice
documentation/book (http://r-pkgs.had.co.nz/). I recall a couple of
years ago there were some tools for generating a package out of a
single file, such as using package.skeleton, but no auto-generated
documentation. Do you know a way to generate

Missed call
Hi list!
I configured Asterisk to forward the incoming call for a number to
both phones.
I wrote that:
exten => _00493512222222,n,Dial(SIP/00493512222222&SIP/00493511111111,,R)
of course it works...
Now the problem is, that when a phone get the call, on the other phone
I get "1 missed call"...
Is it possible to avoid that and signaling the other phone, that the
call was

Yes that's indeed very clear. So if "list" is a super-class

Missed call
On some SIP phones it is possible to turn off the missed call

phones.

Server hangs initializing audio
I have a server that frequently hangs while rebooting. I see no
errors, but during the boot process it stops at this stage:
Initializing hardware... storage network audio
The cursor sits just after the word "audio" and I have to do a hard
reset to get out of it. This server has no audio capabilities, so I
am thinking that I just need to disable the audio stuff so it doesn't

run r script in r-fiddle
Dear List,
According to datacamp support team, r-fiddle.org is not supported. We
asked them to put it down as Professor Maechler suggested it is
a waste of time for the R-help to respond to questions on something
not maintained and severely outdated. If you would like to use
R from your browser, you can embed the following into a web page:

Why R should never move to git
This might be off topic, but if R-core development ever moves to git,
I think it would make sense to have its own git service hosted by a
university, rather than using
github or gitlab. It is possible via https://gogs.io/ project.
Just for the record.

R encrypt/decrypt
Hello,
I am working on a web system (php) that uses R in the backend, and we need some basic fast encryption/decryption for the underlying mysql database that can be used by both R AND php. It does not need to be top-of-the-line, but just provide some basic level of fast encryption/decryption.
Any suggestions?
Thank you,

As a joke, it's funny.
