samba-tool dns delete
Hi, As the error message said "Cannot do GSSAPI to an IP address" perhaps you should try to replace DC IP address by its FQDN: samba-tool dns delete <DC_FQDN> dtoe.etecsa.cu _msdcs\010CNF: 946b89d3-b07b-4f43-a6b9-0de3bf3f3a10.dtoe.etecsa.cu NS * zdtoe-01.dtoe.etecsa.cu -U administrator Cheers, mathias 2015-11-12 20:20 GMT+01:00 Karel González Herrera <karel.gonzalez at

Re: My VMs don't get IP with libvirt and dnsmasq
Hello! Thanks for your answer. Well, I think it has to ask for an IP as I have the same configuration in a different machine (with the same OS) and it works, there I see the DHCP packets and so on, but not here. And yeah, that pepito.conf file exists, this is its content: ##WARNING: THIS IS AN AUTO-GENERATED FILE. CHANGES TO IT ARE LIKELY TO BE ##OVERWRITTEN AND LOST. Changes to this

Well, do you actually see DHCP traffic on the virbr2 bridge? Because if not then the guest

Re: My VMs don't get IP with libvirt and dnsmasq
Hi, That was right. I mean, I've tried it at the same time in both machines I have (the one where it works and the other), and using tcpdump -i virbr2 in both ones, after creating the domain with virsh, showed that the right one is getting DHCP traffic, but there's no DHCP request or anything about DHCP in the one that is not working. Re: My VMs don't get IP with libvirt and dnsmasq
Hi, I've seen this before. First, the simple steps: have you started that network? (virsh start network-name) do you have installed the tools to work with bridges in your OS? can you check if the bridge exist in your OS and if the vm's interface is attached to it? In rhel you use the command brctl to do that, don't know about ubuntu... Best Regards, DR On Thu, Apr 16, 2020 at

My VMs don't get IP with libvirt and dnsmasq
Hello there, I wanted to share a problem I'm having with libvirt, for the case someone here could know how to solve it. I'm using an Ubuntu 18.04 LTS, I have libvirtd already installed and I think I got all the dependencies installed. So, I'm using virsh net-create to create this network: <network> <name>pepito</name> <forward mode='nat'/>

I can't join to an existing domain (yet)
People: I have not solved my problem. I have only one DC with Zentyal 3.4 and I want to change it by samba 4.1.16. That's why if I can't join the samba to the existing domain I would not do anything else. The samba server error is this: (Command from samba) samba-tool domain join dtcf.etecsa.cu DC -U administrator --realm=DTCF.ETECSA.CU --dns-backend=BIND9_DLZ (Response) No

Is it normal printer objects in the samba db?
I have about 400 users and 400 computers. But my samba db has about 40000 objects. I think it is so much. I have watched a lot of printer objects associated with the computer name on which they are attached. Is it normal ? Can I delete all of these printer objects ? Look at this: ldbsearch -H /usr/local/samba/private/sam.ldb.d/DC\=DTCF\,DC\=ETECSA\,DC\=CU.ldb 'cn=*Laser*' dn ...

Samba Version 4.1.9-Zentyal (Zentyal4.0) is using a lot of RAM memory to crash
I have been using two Zentyal 4.0 domain controllers for a long time. 3Gb of RAM each one and working okay. I have not updated them from Internet and my users are the same. Suddently, the first DC began to comsume memory to the top. I detected that samba processes are the responseble of this behavior. More processes with more memory come on. They get more and more memory in such a way that the

Questions about migration Sun Messaging -> Dovecot+Postfix+Ldap
Hello. We are planning a migration from Sun One Messaging Server to Dovecot+Postfix+Ldap. We are using Dovecot 1.2.11 with Sun One Directory Server 5.2 ldap (we will migrate to Directory Server 6.3.1) soon. In our University we have 65.000 students, 5.500 staff and 6.500 teachers. Our main ldap realm is dc=us,dc=es (us means University of Seville, Spain). We have two e-mail
