Tr : RE: samba-tool user add
Why create user on each DC.
Normally, if DC are correctly sync, you create user on one DC and after 1
minute, user is created on other DC.

Re: My VMs don't get IP with libvirt and dnsmasq
Hello!
Thanks for your answer.
Well, I think it has to ask for an IP as I have the same configuration in a
different machine (with the same OS) and it works, there I see the DHCP
packets and so on, but not here. And yeah, that pepito.conf file exists,
this is its content:

My VMs don't get IP with libvirt and dnsmasq
Hello there,
I wanted to share a problem I'm having with libvirt, for the case someone
here could know how to solve it.
I'm using an Ubuntu 18.04 LTS, I have libvirtd already installed and I
think I got all the dependencies installed. So, I'm using virsh net-create
to create this network:
<network>

Well, do you actually see DHCP traffic on the virbr2 bridge? Because if
not then the guest

Re: My VMs don't get IP with libvirt and dnsmasq
Hi,
That was right. I mean, I've tried it at the same time in both machines I
have (the one where it works and the other), and using tcpdump -i virbr2 in
both ones, after creating the domain with virsh, showed that the right one
is getting DHCP traffic, but there's no DHCP request or anything about DHCP
in the one that is not working.

samba-tool dns delete
Hi,
As the error message said "Cannot do GSSAPI to an IP address" perhaps you
should try to replace DC IP address by its FQDN:
samba-tool dns delete <DC_FQDN> dtoe.etecsa.cu _msdcs\010CNF:
946b89d3-b07b-4f43-a6b9-0de3bf3f3a10.dtoe.etecsa.cu NS *
zdtoe-01.dtoe.etecsa.cu -U administrator
Cheers,
mathias

Re: My VMs don't get IP with libvirt and dnsmasq
Hi,
I've seen this before.
First, the simple steps:
have you started that network? (virsh start network-name)
do you have installed the tools to work with bridges in your OS?
can you check if the bridge exist in your OS and if the vm's interface is
attached to it? In rhel you use the command brctl to do that, don't know
about ubuntu...
Best Regards,
DR

[OT] "plot y against x"
Hi Folks,
I'd be grateful for some views on the following.
When I say "plot y against x" I mean that y is on the vertical
axis and x is on the horizontal axis. I acquired this usage so
long ago that I can no longer remember how I acquired it, and
therefore can not cite my "authority" for my usage. There can
also be an implication that y is a function of x (or y is a

I can't join to an existing domain (yet)
People:
I have not solved my problem. I have only one DC with Zentyal 3.4 and I
want to change it by samba 4.1.16. That's why if I can't join the samba
to the existing domain I would not do anything else.
The samba server error is this:
(Command from samba)
samba-tool domain join dtcf.etecsa.cu DC -U administrator
--realm=DTCF.ETECSA.CU --dns-backend=BIND9_DLZ
