Bind DNS Issues
G'day All, I'm running up Samba4.2.3 with 4 DCs on Centos7. There are no changes to the default smb.conf file that gets created at provision/DC join. "samba-tool drs showrepl" show all DC replicating in and out. "samba-tool dbcheck" shows no errors. See below for named.conf. I'm having two issues. 1) After bind first starts up

Column(row)wise minimum and maximum
Hi, Currently, the "base" has colSums, colMeans. It seems that it would be useful to extend this to also include colMin, colMax (of course, rowMin and rowMax, as well) in order to facilitate faster computations for large vectors (compared to using apply). Has this been considered before? Please forgive me if this has already been discussed before. Thanks, Ravi Ravi Varadhan, Ph.D.

"Create-only" Samba share
Thanks! That does exactly what I wanted. Although contrary to what the documentation says, it seems it doesn't do anything unless I explicitly configure worm:grace_period.

subcripts on data frames (PR#9885)
I'm not sure if this is a bug, or if I'm doing something wrong. =20 =46rom the worms dataframe, which is at in a file called worms.txt at =20 http://www.imperial.ac.uk/bio/research/crawley/therbook <http://www.imperial.ac.uk/bio/research/mjcraw/therbook/index.htm>=20 =20 the idea is to extract a subset of the rows, sorted in declining order of worm density, with only the maximum

Any interest in "merge" and "by" implementations specifically for sorted data?
Hi Developers, I am looking for another new project to help me get more up to speed on R and to learn something outside of R internals. One recent R issue I have run into is finding a fast implementations of the equivalent to the following SAS code: /* MDPC is an integer sort key made from two integer columns */ MDPC = (MD * 100000) + PCO; /* sort the dataset by the key */ PROC SORT;

Using Modules
I have setup my application so that the "admin" area is a module (app/worm/ -> admin area) and the "site" area is in the app/ folder. When I try to submit a basic form to the database it says: This error occured while loading the following files: worm/in_your_classroom_link.rb Which I think this means is that it is looking for a worm module in my models folder. Why

Scheduled AutoCommit Function for WORM Feature
Hello Gluster Community, while reading that article: https://github.com/gluster/glusterfs-specs/blob/master/under_review/worm-compliance.md there seems to be an interesting feature planned for the WORM Xlator: *Scheduled Auto-commit*: Scan Triggered Using timeouts for untouched files. The next scheduled namespace scan will cause the transition. CTR DB via libgfdb can be used to find files that

Swen virus and spam appears to be coming from Samba list
Shortly after I subscribed to this Samba list I started receiving numerous emails infected with the Swen/Gibe worm. Many of these emails contained the email addresses of Samba list members. I believe a subscriber of the Samba list has the Swen virus. Has anyone else on this list been getting emails infected with the Swen/Gibe worm? Please update your virus definitions and do a virus scan just to

Write Once Read Many share with samba
Hi I am trying to simulate a Write Once Read Many (WORM) drive using Samba. Eg. Anyone can write on a drive, but once the file has been written no one can delete or modify the file. This is something that is quite easily done using a Windows Server, but I haven't managed to do so using Samba. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance Jean-Yes

syn flood protection - inside initiated attacks
Perhaps someone will help me on this :- I have read a lot of examples of syn flood protect on the INPUT chain. That I have no question at all. I wonder if it make sense to perform syn flood protection at the FORWARD chain ? If packets are originated from a LAN worm, and are not targetted at the firewall itself, but rather at hosts in the internet, will it cause problem with the firewall itself,
