Reshape
Hi - I'm up against a complicated reshape problem. I have data of the form
X1,Y1,hr1,hr2,hr3
X1,Y2,hr1,hr2,hr3
X1,Y3,hr1,hr2,hr3
X2,Y1,hr1,hr2,hr3
X2,Y2,hr1,hr2,hr3
X2,Y3,hr1,hr2,hr3
where X and Y are factors and the hr(1,2,3) are values. I need it as
,X1, X2
Y1,hr1,hr1
Y1,hr2,hr2
Y1,hr3,hr3
Y2,hr1,hr1
Y2,hr2,hr2
Y2,hr3,hr3
..,
Any hints? I've been at it for hours.

copying comments from one ogg file to another
is there any way to do this?
say i have an ogg that originally came from a radio broadcast recording, and
i later obtain an ogg vorbis file encoded from the cd. i would want to copy
the comments from the first file to the second.
i had hoped ogginfo could do this, or else oggenc, but they cannot. (see my
previous email "downsampling/pealing bitrate from file1.ogg to file2.ogg",

looking for sssd basics and simple config with existing ldap centos 6.3
Hi,
I'm planing to setup a new samba fileserver as a member to an existing
samba 3.x SMB.
The old server is still nss-pam-ldapd configured (historic left overs).
As I dont have any pressure to have the new server up and running within
the next few hours, I liked to set up sssd with our existing openldap.
After googling and reading some documentations from redhat/fedora I
think I do have a

Enhanced MDISKCHK.COM and MEMDISK patches
Good day to all,
Gert Hulselmans requested a feature for MDISKCHK.COM that would function
roughly like GETARGS.COM[1] by Murali Krishnan Ganapathy: DOS SET
command output for MEMDISK kernel arguments passed by previous
boot-loaders. He also needed to support the case for
MEMDISK-in-a-MEMDISK type situations, where all MEMDISK kernel arguments
could be gathered together and output as a list

Wonky Firefox 68.0.1esr upgrade
I just applied a bunch of updates to my CentOS 7 system yesterday, one
of which was a Firefox update to 68.0.1esr.
Now when I bring up sites I would log in to -- my bank, credit cards,
etc., the Password box is wonky and shakes and doesn't display
successive dots? for characters I type, nor does it accept what I type.
My work around currently is to type the password first, then my userid

shorewall dynamic zones confusion
Hi,
I''ve been successfully using shorewall in our K12 school since the 2.x
days initially on Mandrake and now on Debian. Because of that my config
has got quite complicated. The firewall has a working MultiISP setup
with four interfaces (I''ve renamed them with udev to easy their
identification): lan-if, dmz-if, snt-if and dnt-if (one of the providers
(the one on dnt-if) is a DSL

I just realized that the hogg tools will fix the CRC issues (by design
accident: hogg ignores the CRC on reading but sets it correctly on
writing). "hogg rip" rewrites the pages (fixing the CRC), and "hogg
reconstruct" also rewrites the

Xen bridge no longer working
Hello everybody,
Here again with a Xenbr0 bridge problem
I''m a Gentoo user, xen-sources-2.6.34 and I always used the bridge from eth0
to xenbr0.
Here''s what I get at boot time:
* Bringing up interface eth0
* null
[...]
* Starting Xen control daemon ...
And the bridge doesn''t come up.
The normal behaviour should be that the Xenbr0 bridge comes up
automatically, but

RE: SATA detect fails on ICH7 chipset / DellPoweredgeSC430
Please can you do an ''lspci -nv'' to find out the exact version of your
controller.
I''m wandering whether it features in pci/quirks.c and whether the fixup
code is borked on Xen.
Also, have you tried fiddling around with any of the BIOS IDE legacy
mode settings?
There really is no good explanation for a) why the MMIO region is so low
on native, and b) why it is

the time spent resting (R) by an individual animal. Simply i want to run a

resting between hours.

Windows 7 + Samba 3.4.5 locking problem
Hello,
after having no problem with four Windows 2000 workstations and one Samba
2.something server for several years in a medical practice the practice
software (DocComfort) dropped support for Windows 2000 beginning of this
year. So I bought new hardware for the workstations and servers and
installed from scratch. Now there are four Windows 7 Professional 32bit
Workstations (with UAC disabled)
