i want to use bind 9.11beta2 version. I do not see bind9_11.so Best regards cat /usr/local/samba/private/named.conf # This DNS configuration is for BIND 9.8.0 or later with dlz_dlopen support. # # This file should be included in your main BIND configuration file # # For example with # include "/usr/local/samba/private/named.conf"; # # This configures dynamically loadable zones (DLZ)

Samba 4 Bind DNS on CentOS 7
Hi Brady, I realise that but the only named.conf to be found on the system is my newly created /etc/named.conf. Either something screwed up when installing the Sernet RPMs, which is really pretty unlikely given that everything else is working, or the file was not included in the package. regards, John On 21/08/15 10:16, Brady, Mike wrote: > On 2015-08-21 11:18, John Gardeniers wrote:

Switching to Bind from Samba Internal
Rowland, Thanks for the reply. I believe you're right. It appears the zone information is retrieved from '/usr/local/samba/private/named.conf'? Correct? I notice I do not have 'named.conf'. I have 'named.conf.update'. On 12/16/2014 9:21 AM, Rowland Penny wrote: > On 16/12/14 13:54, James wrote: >> Hello, >> >> Looking to switch to Bind.

Missing dns.keytab and named.conf
Hello list: I would like change the dns backend from Samba Internal DNS to BIND_DLZ . I compiled samba 4.1.7 on debian wheezy. But when I did the tutorial https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/DNS_Backend_BIND I noticed that there was no file /usr/local/samba/private/named.conf nor dns.keytab. I found a file named on /usr/local/samba/share/setup/named.conf but I'm not sure that's the

CentOS 6.8 named won't start after upgrade
Ugh, I was upgrading the AD server running on a CentOS 6.8 which uses named as its back-end. I have been running it for years with no problems. Today after upgrading bind named will not start.
