asterisk-users Digest, Vol 70, Issue 24
Yes this scenario works on my 2 systems which are at LAN. I made one system
as server (192.168.0.20) and registered from other system... it is fine but
now there is a different scene.
actually there is a registered user named abc at system1 (192.168.0.20)
having context [payasyougo] which is used to do outbound calls. we want to
use this user's context and account so that when we register

Cannot see trusted domains (getfacl or setfacl)
Hi,
I have a samba server (version 3.0.28). I have joined my server to my domain
with no problems.
Since I will have postfix in my machine, (to relay mails externally) I
configured my /etc/resolv.conf with my external dns first and later my
internal dns. The problem is that when I try to apply acl permissions on
some folder (using setfacl) I cannot see the trusted domains, If I comment

Asterisk keeps sending invite to sip phone "No response to critical packet"
Hi there
I am wondering if anybody can help me illuminate a problem I am having with
my asterisk installation. I am using:
- IP phone (Siemens gigaset S685IP) behind a modem/router that has ports udp
5060 and 10000:10100 forwarded to the static ip of the IP phone
(192.168.0.3). This has to go to:
- modem that operates in half bridge mode (no nat) to a linux firewall (does

Sip phones on localnet AND outside localnet problem
Hi list
I am having trouble getting asterisk to perceive the firewall's ip address as outside localnet (setting in sip.conf). The situation is this:
- phones inside lan work fine when localnet is set to 192.168.0.0/255.255.255.0
- phones outside the lan can't ack the invite from asterisk because asterisk perceives the outside phone to originate from localnet as DNAT is done with iptables

Samba 4.9.4 - high RAM usage - OOM killer
Hai,
How is the swappiness set?
cat /proc/sys/vm/swappiness
Its probely set to 60, i suggest, lower it to 10 or 20.
That wil help keeping the samba processes out of swap.
I've see more programs gettting OOM Killed due too out of swap.
echo 10 > /proc/sys/vm/swappiness
Stop and start samba

Behaviour that I don't understand
I am trying to set up rsync as a daemon under WindowsXP (professional) in
order to be able to backup this machine on to a linux server. I am
struggling with an issue I don't understand. I don't know whether it is an
Rsync issue or a Cygwin issue, so I am asking both mailing lists.
My WindowsXP machine has ip address 192.168.0.25 and name rabbit.home
My Linux machine has ip address

About ping latency in SR-IOV
Hi, Greg, Eddie,
I found that in SR-IOV + HVM environment, ping latency depends on ping interval.
The NIC is Intel 82576 (1000Mbps), server uses xen-4.0.1, domain-0 is
kernel-2.6.32
and HVM is kernel-2.6.31. The server and client are connected through
a 1000Mbps switch.
The data is as following:
# ping -i 1 192.168.0.21
PING 192.168.0.21 (192.168.0.21) 56(84) bytes of data.

SPA-2000 Dropped calls
Been having a problem with my two Sipura 2000's dropping calls from the
SPA-2000 side. Seems the calls are dropped right before the "Next
Registration" time. Calls drop about ever 60 minutes or so. I have
dialed from one port to the other and let it sit. After about 60 minutes
or so the calls get dropped.
System details are below

spa3000
I'm trying to get working a spa3000 with asterisk. My problem is I
cant get wroking the incomming calls (I installed the lastest
firmware). My problem is asterisk is rejecting the authentication from
the spa3000. Asterisk answers forbidden (SIP/2.0 403 Forbidden) and I
think I placed the username and password correctly...
Sip.conf says this:
[linea2]
username=linea2
type=peer
secret=1111

Can asterisk record the duration of users putting on hold?
Hi,
Recently we got a new feature request from our customer, they want a
report to list the duration that agents putting customer on hold, they
want to base on this to measure the agents performance. I cannot find
any events in cdr, message logs, or manager interface, only when I
enable sip debug, then I can see the ReInvite Event in the cli , some
thing like the attached logs, is there any

pausing scrub crashed scrub daemon on nodes
Hi,
I am using glusterfs 3.10.1 with 30 nodes each with 36 bricks and 10 nodes
each with 16 bricks in a single cluster.
By default I have paused scrub process to have it run manually. for the
first time, i was trying to run scrub-on-demand and it was running fine,
but after some time, i decided to pause scrub process due to high CPU usage
and user reporting folder listing taking time.
But scrub

Hello,
I have my samba share running and I can access everything just fine from
my windows XP work station.
However I have a problem with macromedia homesite. I can see but not
open the share because homesite thinks I do not have access.
I have captured the network traffic with a sniffer and it seems the path
is a problem..
Here is a snip of my network traffic where 192.168.0.9 is my linux

Samba 4.9.4 - high RAM usage - OOM killer
Hi,
We upgraded a legacy (NT4) domain from 3.6 series to 4.8 and then 4.9.4
samba version (using sernet subscription packages / debian stable)
The setup is composed of 4 DCs with each 2 CPU/16GB RAM.
We currently have ~700 user accounts / ~600 computers / ~150 groups
Our mail setup, SSO, ... query the 4 DCs constantly.
Every 5 to 10 days the RAM consumption and CPU usage (due to kswapd)
