(SOLVED ) you have been logged on with a temporary profile_win7, client+samba 4+WinServ2012
Hi Yes you are right it is a workaround but the reason is not resolvable at the moment is because Samba server is not registered in our DNS yet. I believe once a DNS entry is created, I will be able to use the name instead of the IP in the user's profile path. yes, agree Rowland, and he added 1 extra problem. Kerberos auth, does not work right if you dont use the hostname (best in fqdn ) for the server it may work, but other things maybe not. for example, if you install also a squid proxy and you want to use kerberos auth. you must use the FQDN of the host in your browser to get it working. and thats just 1 example. It better you fix your dns and

Hai, Try to set in GPO to always wait for network, before login if not set already. And Please go here. https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Samba_%26_Windows_Profiles and choose. Profile share using Windows ACLs OR Profile share with using POSIX ACLs so correct your rights, as it should be, and try again. and my advice, before setting your rights, go add this line to you profiles share.

Windows7 client can not see samba server in "Network Discovery" window.
Hello everyone I have setup samba4 on centos7 as a member only server using yum and is called jimmy. A windows 2012 server for Active Directory and a win7 client for testing. Both the client and jimmy are members of the same windows AD domain. The problem is that jimmy does not come up on the client's "Network discovery" window. Even if I type jimmy's IP address \\IP on the

Problem Referencing Fixture Objects
In my tests, I use fixtures, eg pupils.yml might be: jimmy: id: 100003 known_as: Jimmy surname: Page academic_year_id: 1 gender: m In the test, @jimmy (the referencing style referred to in Agile Web Dev....) is nil, whereas pupil(:jimmy) returns the expected Pupil object. What gives? Robert

RFC] Shrink-wrapping improvement
Hi Francis, Thanks for getting back to me. Could you please provide more details about the problems you encounter with those tools and what improvements required to improve compact unwinding format? Most of my experience is in the mid end, but it is still surprising to me that an improved shrink wrap will break that many tools, considering the fact that gcc has a good shrink wrapping pass and

Scalar Evolution Expressions Involving Sibling Loops
Thanks for sharing the known problem. I think to solve the problem properly, we need to fully understand why that assumption about dominance is there and the implications of removing it. It would be good if you could be more specific about your idea of nullptr or SCEV_unknown (eg which function would return those values and when), but returning nullptr from getAddExpr or getSCEVAtScope may be

Hello, I've have an installation where some clients run via a VPN tunnel and modem and that makes W2k clients to connect on port 445, but i need to have it running on port 139 as well so i start smbd for port 445 via inetd and nmbd and smbd on port 139 as daemons. But now for my problem, some local clients have problems when printing, they get permission denied, could that be due to this? And

Solaris username character limit issues.
Hello, I've compiled Samba 3.0.4 with Heimdal 0.6.2 and all of the other trimmings to join and ADS tree, which I have successfully done. Winbind correctly pulls all of the username and group information from the ADS tree and all is good. However... I seem to be running into a wall with the wonderful Solaris 8 character username / groupname limit. Usernames with spaces or names longer than

Odd problem with pxelinux
We encountar a somewhat odd problem. We use pxelinux to boot a linux cluster and when we reboot all 103 of the nodes some of the won't start since the tftp-servere looses the arp-entry _between_ it downloads the pxelinux.0 and the config file! pxelinux doesn't seem to answer the arp-requests either in this phase. We run linux 2.4.22 on the tftp-server which also is dhcp-server and
