check password script for samba 4 ad dc
Hi everyone, A quick question: Is check password script option working for ad dc setup? I believe, ad on it's own cannot provide password protection against dictionaries.

unique index violation on objectSid on samba ad
Let me explain myself here. We ship video surveillance systems with build-in ad domain controllers on 2 servers. Right now we have 4 active projects and 3 more this year. Provisioning dc's by hand each time is a pain I would like to avoid. There's not much I want from a domain: groups 'video' and 'video admins' to exist, gpo's to auto redirect user profiles to network

unique index violation on objectSid on samba ad
Hi everyone, I think, I've done something stupid here. At first I've created 2 lxc containers and provisioned one as dc.office.mtt and joined second one to the first ad bdc.tsnr.mtt. Then I've cloned those containers several times and changed ip adresses and dns names of new containers to different subnets. The name of domain stayed the same. At first everything seemed fine, but when

[LLVMdev] [cfe-dev] RFC: Upcoming Build System Changes
I wouldn't say that. I know quite a few systems here around that even try to avoid python where possible. but cmake however, as a build system, is welcomed by all of us (working as a sysop in a unix environment). I'd also (as a non-llvm-dev but llvm-userdev) vote for NOT reinventing the wheel but to use the tool the fits you the best, personally that's even cmake, too. it has a well

library(): load library from a specified location
Dear list memmbers, I would like to load a R library from a specified folder with library() and need help on how to call the command. The reason is that I am loading this library on a remote machine where I have no admin rights. Furthermore a library with the same name is already installed on that machine. I have modified this library slightly by modifying the source code and created a

Hi all, I try to develop my own R package. I have a couple of standart functions like dim() and length() overloaded. #Example dim.Model <- function(this) { length(unique(this$.variables)); } I built my package, but when I try to load it... This message appears: Attaching package 'mudim': The following object(s) are masked _by_ .GlobalEnv : dim.Model,...(etc.) Any

Sharing bandwidth
Hi there, I''ve got the following problem on my hand..... I''m a sysop for a school in the netherlands. We have a network with 5 different schools (and 1 administration). Each of those have their own ip range in the private network (10.4.0.0 10.5.0.0 and so on). For all these schools we have an internet uplink of 2mbit. And this bandwidth should be shared as fairly as possible.

New antispam measures on the wiki
It is by now clear that a handful of persistent spammers have started using semiautomated attacks targeted specifically at our wiki ... one careless spammer even uploaded some of his scripts! As a result, I have switched the wiki to a mode where editors need to be explicitly authorized, manually, before they can edit. As a result, people will need to first create an account, and then get a

Hi, Do you have any documentation on the protocol used by the icecast-server? I wrote a tool for multiplexing (proxying) shoutcast-sessions and I would also like to convert it for icecast-sessions. This shoutcastproxy makes it possible to listen with a couple of people to a session while only 1 is retrieved from a shoutcastserver (http://www.vanheusden.com/shoutcastproxy/). <p>Folkert van
