Samba process pegging CPU
My apologies, went to paste and accidentally sent the message...see below for rest of detail.
Greetings,
I'm currently experiencing an issue with two of my three Samba servers where one Samba process is pegging the CPU usage and eating up a lot of virtual and resident memory. While this is happening I get a "ERROR(runtime): DsReplicaGetInfo of type 0 failed - (-1073610723,

I am having trouble setting both variables and global
variables thru an extension.
I am using Asterisk 1.2.4 with Ztdummy on CentOS 3.4
with an Xlite softphone. I have two xlite phones on

kjournald pegging cpu
kernel version 2.6.10-1.771_FC2smp
We have had quite a few instances of kjournald pegging cpu and thereby
effectively knocking out the system's i/o.
What can we do to provide more information so that the cause can be
identified and fixed?
Thanks

nautilus pegging the cpu
I have a user that is running centos on
many machines. At each machine, the users is logged
into a common account that is located elsewhere on the network.
Meaning that everyone is logged on as user_x and accessing
the home directory via NFS.
All users are running gnome. On some of the machines, the nautilus
process is pegging the cpu. At this time, I have no strace or other

A smbd process pegging CPU at near 100% with v3.0.10-1FC2 RPM
Maybe it's stuck in a library call loop. Try ltrace -p 2170 -f -o
smbd.2170.ltrace.out

We're having the same problems as many others with print queues, client lock-ups, etc. I think
maybe this CPU problem is related as we have two servers in two locations with the same versions,
and both had the problem immediately after upgrading to 3.0.10. We use the YUM facility to
upgrade Samba. To react to these

rails command version pegging?
Hello,
Is it possible to declare the version of Rails used with the seminal
"rails /path/to/my_app" command?
For example, I now have 1.2.1 and 1.1.6 installed on my machine. If I
run "rails my_app" I get 1.2.1 produced skeleton code. Is there a way
to get 1.1.6 results?

Samba pid in uninterruptible state
Greetings,
I recently upgraded Samba on an Ubuntu 14.04.2 server from version 4.1.9 to 4.2.3. Upon rebooting Samba process goes into a running state then after a short time it will go into an uninterruptible state. If I check the log.samba, it appears that it is attempting to start, then hangs at the following:

DomainDnsZones inbound replication issue
Greetings,
I am having a problem with one of my DCs (DC3) replicating DomainDnsZones. On DC3 replication is successful on both Inbound and Outbound with both of my other DCs. On both of my other DCs (DC1 & DC2) I only get a failure with Inbound replication for DomainDnsZones from DC3 with a result 8442 (WERR_DS_DRA_INTERNAL_ERROR).
If I try to force replication to DC3 from DC1 using

DomainDnsZones inbound replication issue
Here's my edited smb.conf and the output of the testparm. As you can see I'm not setting that in my smb.conf and it appears to be turned on by default in Samba 4.4.4. I was going to update Samba on DC1 to 4.4.4 as well, but haven't done that yet. It's currently on 4.2.3. Should I upgrade that as well before changing anything else? Thanks!

question about strftime when called from partial.
Hi,
I''m calling a helper I''ve written - format_time() that is called from my
views with a given time that was selected from my database and was returned
to the view via an instance variable. When I call format_time from a
partial, I see that I get some kind of String error and the partial won''t
render. Basically, the object being passed in to format_time is already a

Samba-Tool Error
Greetings,
A little while ago I started receiving an error any time I tried to run a samba-tool command on my pdc. My bdc is showing inbound and outbound working just fine with the pdc. The error I am receiving is ldb: unable to stat module /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/samba/ldb : No such file or directory.
Is this just as simple as creating a soft link to /usr/local/samba/lib/ldb?
Any advice

samba-tool dns serverinfo
Good Afternoon,
I successfully joined an Ubuntu 14.04 server with Samba 4.1.9 to my existing domain. I want this server to become my Master, but before I attempt to seize roles, I have been double and triple checking all of the configuration files and DNS entries. I noticed that this server's dns serverinfo differs from the other three servers. For it's aipServerAddrs and aipListenAddrs,

send a POST off a link, not a button.
Hi,
Got a question about how the book suggests sending POST requests using a
form whenever one intents to change some database state. So I converted a
bunch of links to forms which ended up creating buttons. I was wondering if
there was a way to keep them links rather than buttons but still use POST in
a form?
thanks.

Just getting started
This is my first attempt at creating a mail server. I'm running postfix and dovecot on Fedora 7. So far the process has been very
enlightening. I currently have the server able to send and receive messages for a domain from the server machine itself. In
addition, I can SMTP from any client set up on the LAN by logging in. However, I cannot retrieve messages from remote clients on
the LAN.
